My name is Montaha. I am a regular tutor who has taught over 300 lessons online with GoStudent for over two years! I am proud to say that I have extensive experience tutoring multiple GCSE students across the UK in various subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Geography, and English. My teaching approach is informal yet effective. I prefer to help students learn using a method that works best for them, whether by reviewing exam questions, explaining concepts with diagrams, or dissecting lesson material to make it much more straightforward. I believe understanding what the exam board is asking for and how the mark scheme works is critical to achieving high grades at GCSE level. ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. In my free time I am a keen traveler, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills by necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language, as well as TEFL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I cover mainly GCSE's and A-level's, as well as TEFL English for any age if these students happen to come up. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionairres and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the main. WJEC/Eduqas to a lesser extent. Languages:- English: as a first language to advanced level. Turkish: fluent to college level.

I am a 23 year old full time tutor working from the United Kingdom. I have both a first class undergraduate degree in English and Drama, and a first class masters in Storytelling. I have taught (and still teach) GCSE English Language, Literature, Drama, History as well as the same subjects for A-level (excluding certain History subjects). I am most proficient in increasing grades in essay writing and creative writing formats. I am a native English speaker but I teach ESL, TOEFL, AND KET, so have extensive experience teaching students whose native language is Chinese.
