Hello. My name is Tara, and I am a fourth-year Dental Student at Newcastle University. I grew up in London and moved to Newcastle in 2021 to start studying Dentistry. I very much enjoy the course, and we are now starting to see patients, which is very exciting. Aside from my studies, I am the Dental Netball Captain for the University, so I organise matches. I have 6 years of tutoring experience, and the first job I got was when I was 16. I worked at my local Kumon centre tutoring primary school children in English and Maths to prepare them for the 11+ entrance exam. Since starting University, I have been an online tutor tutoring KS3 and GCSE students in Maths and Science.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, in 2013 and later completed a Master of Education in Mathematics in 2018. With a decade of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full academic potential. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed. My approach focuses on guiding students toward their educational goals, whether transitioning to postsecondary education, pursuing vocational paths, or achieving personal growth. I am a dedicated and passionate maths tutor who has experience for over 4 years in tutoring for SATS, GCSE and A-level students. I have an effective way of explaining key concepts clearly to student’s in an engaging and collaborative manner. My patience and experience allow me to adapt easily to the student’s needs. I've secured A* in Economics and Psychology, and an A in Maths at A-levels. Additionally, I attained all 7,8,9s in my GCSEs, showcasing excellence in subjects like Maths and Business Studies.
