I hold a bachelor’s in secondary education, majoring in mathematics, and am pursuing a master’s in education. I teach general mathematics and statistics with a focus on active participation and critical thinking. Beyond the classroom, I mentor students, coach for competitions, and foster a growth mindset. Hello there! I'm Rochelle and I'm excited to be your tutor! I have a degree in Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics and also a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. I've been a teacher for 6 years now, handling various subjects in Junior High School and Senior High School, age ranging from 10 to 23 years old. I am also an international coach in Mathematics Olympiad. I have a license as a professional teacher which I acquired last 2018. As an educator, my teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student has the potential to excel when given the right support, guidance, and opportunities to learn. I am a Licensed Professional Teacher certified by Professional Regulation Commission with a Degree in Mathematics and 6 years of experience in managing the workplace and classrooms. I have a degree in Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics where I’ve been honing my skills in teaching and further expanding my knowledge in the field of education. I started this journey in 2019, and completed it this September 2024. I earned my degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, in 2018. During my time there, I was a Dean’s Lister, demonstrating my passion and dedication to academic excellence. I graduated as Class Valedictorian during my Elementary and Secondary School. In terms of experience, I’ve been teaching as a Senior High School Teacher II since October 2021. I’ve had the opportunity to handle various subjects, including Mathematics, Practical Research, and Accounting related subjects. Before this, I had a brief stint as a substitute teacher in September 2021, and I also taught for three years at Jose Rizal Institute from 2018 to 2021, teaching Mathematics to both junior and senior high school students. I have already attended various trainings and seminars in Mathematics. Aside from that, I won different competitions in Mathematics, the recent was as a winning coach for National Olympiad and set to compete in International Olympiad. Through my experiences in different teaching environments, I’ve developed a strong foundation in instructional methods and a deep commitment to helping students excel in their academic pursuits. I am currently a University student studying a biosciences degree in Zoology! I am passionate about biology and animals/the environment in particular. After my degree I am looking to work in animal conservation specifically. Aside from my degree, I love sports (especially taekwondo/martial arts and netball) and I am interested in how understanding biology can improve performance.
