Hi, I’m Jeane! I’m a passionate English teacher who loves helping students connect with literature and language in fun and creative ways. I strive to make learning exciting with lively discussions, role-playing, and fun activities, all while sparking curiosity and building confidence in my students. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me watching movies on Netflix and making sure I hit my 10,000 steps every day, which keeps me energized and motivated throughout the day. I am a Physical Therapy graduate and have completed a Teaching & Demo course with New York Universities as an international student. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in teaching strategies, language, and literature. Through my studies, I developed the ability to design well-structured lessons that cater to individual students’ needs. I’m passionate about making math both accessible and enjoyable, and I always strive to adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s individual needs. I have a strong desire to travel the world and immerse myself in different cultures, learning from each place I visit. GCSE: Sciences and Maths A-Level : Biology Exam Board Experience : AQA I am a current associate teacher in science studying for my PGCE after graduating Lancaster University with a degree in biomedicine, specialising in biogerontology at dissertation level and have experience in a hospital pathology lab. I have tutored for over 3 years now and in my spare time like to go on hikes in the Lake District I studied my GCSEs in the North-West of England and then went on to study A-level biology, chemistry and maths near the Lake District for a change of teaching style. After my A-levels, I went to study biomedicine at Lancaster University with a current interest in biogerontology and insulin/IGF-like signalling. This interest has led to me being currently in the process of being listed in my supervisor's research as an undergraduate author on the extension of lifespan in Drosophila through reduced IIS in serotonergic neurons. I am now an associate teacher in science, specialising in biology.
