I am looking forward to studying English Literature at University this year as I really love reading, some of my favourite books include The Book Thief, Wuthering Heights and Six of Crows. I also enjoy going on walks and doing nature photography. I play the piano, and I also love baking, especially if it involves chocolate!

I am a friendly and personable tutor that provides a personalised and professional service; lessons are tailored to your individual needs. Based just outside Edinburgh, Scotland, I offer both in person and online sessions. I have 10 years of experience teaching primary in and around the Edinburgh area. My positions have included working as a mainstream class teacher, support for learning roles, and a peripatetic advisory role for children with additional support needs. Furthermore, I also have 20+ years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language, and taught English Literature and English Language as part of the IB programme at Anatolia High School in Thessaloniki, Greece. Teaching has also seen me work abroad in Germany and Austria. Before embarking on my teaching career, I was self-employed as a personal trainer and sports psychologist. My two degrees in psychology, make me ideally placed to also tutor psychology. Students and their parents describe me as being fun, articulate and empathetic. I have a relaxed, engaging teaching style, and empower learners by offering a variety of tools and strategies. Related to this, I have had great success in improving the confidence of learners, and as a result, igniting their enthusiasm for learning. In my spare time I enjoy working out, cooking, reading and spending time with my partner and 2 cats. I have an extensive education history. I hold 3 degrees from the University of Edinburgh. Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out! Other hobbies of mine include: reading and travelling. I hope on gostudent i can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise. More importantly i want to help build up your confidence; often you know a-lot more than you think you do.
