I am a leader at Guides and and in my free time I like listening to music, watching movies, drawing and baking. I love travelling and hope to study or work abroad in the future. As a tutor the main goal I have is to make the student feel confident walking in to class and any exams as well as give them a safe space in the lessons to feel comfortable asking questions as I know how hard it can be to do that in a class setting. Hello! My name is Laura Cain and I am a student at Nottingham University. In my spare time, I enjoy playing classical piano and musical arts. I teach classical piano to students around my neighbourhood. I often indulge in winter sports, both playing and watching. I hope to make a difference in the world one day, one small step at a time. In History, I specify in teaching Communist states, the American Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, Crime and Punishment. I attended Kenilworth School and transferred to Kenilworth Sixth form afterwards. I took English Literature, modern History and Sociology for A levels. I am currently in third year, studying BA Hons Classics and Archaeology at the University of Nottingham.

After spending the first few years of my life in Glasgow, I moved to Vienna in Austria, which is where I grew up. I attended an international school, where I completed the MYP and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and volunteered as a tutor. As part of the diploma programme, I studied Higher Level English Language and Literature, Higher Level Mathematics Analysis and Approaches and Higher Level Economics. I also took French, Chemistry and Visual Arts as my standard level subjects. I achieved a total of 43 points in the IB, with 777 in my higher-level subjects, 776 in my standard subjects, a B in Theory of Knowledge and a C in my extended essay.

I have been teaching Law and English for the last 5 years. I have a variety of experiences both online and in a classroom setup. I get great satisfaction helping student unlock their potential and aim high. I have had the honor of studying law for several years myself and gaining knowledge and understanding in various areas. I also have practical experience in the legal field. I will tailor my teaching method to what works best for you and your degree and what you are comfortable with. My areas of interest are Immigration law, commercial law, and arbitration. However, I can tutor in most areas of law at all levels including Dissertations.
