As part of the course, I also completed an integrated BSc in cardiovascular science, where I achieved first-class honours. At school I achieved 4A* at A level in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and PE, ranking as one of the top students in the cohort. At GCSE, I also performed very well, achieving seven grade 9s and two grade 8s, as well as an A* in GCSE Further Mathematics. I have over four years of tutoring experience, which I began whilst still at school in Year 13. I currently tutor GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) as well as Combined Science Trilogy. I also offer A-level tuition in Biology and Chemistry.

With coming top in the year for GCSE computing, a 9 in maths and distinction in further maths, and As and A*s in maths, further maths and computing A level, I am fully qualified for any material that needs to be covered in my lessons. Furthermore, I have had some tutoring experience in degree level computing and GCSE music, so now I'm looking to further hone this here. Other than academics, I'm a friendly approachable guy who loves a good chat with anyone, I've played football regularly for many years for college and local teams, very keen to try to get into the University team this year also! With every session, I aim to keep topics relatable and enjoyable for my students and also to make them understand why this particular topic is relevant to them. As I believe, this understanding is half of the learning journey that they need to make. Currently, I am pursuing my aspiration of a career in medical research. I am studying Pharmacology at the University of Reading which has enforced the importance of always striving to learn; so I encourage my students to embrace learning. Studying the medical field has highlighted the importance of teaching and learning: in particular explaining concepts in a manner that will enable a deeper understanding. As an individual who enjoys a problem solving challenge, of which I have demonstrated during my many voluntary pursuits, including at a school and at a hospital, I have communicated with a wide range of individuals. So, in establishing a student's needs, I understand the issues they are facing and find solutions to their problems. Guiding a student through revision is no easy task as no student learns in the same format. Presenting the student with ideas and having them put these into practice is what I aim for to prepare them for exams. Education: Currently studying my second year of undergraduate Pharmacology at the University of Reading. Completed and taken part in an employment and development award alongside my degree.
