Hi! My name is Sarah and I study Biomedical Science. I will graduate next year and I hope to continue onto a Master’s in Neuroscience. In terms of my tutoring experience, I work mostly with primary and secondary school children so and I have taught across the board. I absolutely adore English Literature and my favourite genre is psychological thriller but I am also trying to delve more into the Classics too. I am also an aspiring writer too, currently attempting to finish my first fantasy novel! I have experience teaching SEND students too, so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Levels and subjects you teach: I can teach maths at A level and lower Exam boards experience: AQA , Edexcel Preferred student age group: GCSE/A Level I use my communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts in simple terms. My responsibility in my role, is to assist students when help is required. I have gained skills in time management and teamwork. Also I have experienced professionalism and have had to be flexible and resilient to complete a given task.

Also, I have a lot of experience in Nurseries with under 2s and over 2s - so just love working with children and young people in general! I also enjoy swimming in my free time. However, I am currently a medical student so when I am not working or studying then I love to either read or just spend time with family to de-wind!

I have lived and worked on three continents, enjoying such diversity as Kenya, Spain, Ecuador, Gran Canaria, Portugal (Braga), Azerbaijan, Guernsey and Portugal (Porto). I now live in semi-retirement near London, in Surrey. I have been a Headteacher, Principal, Deputy Head, Head of Department and classroom practitioner throughout this time. I have delivered the national curriculum throughout this time following awarding body specifications for GCSE Maths, A Level Maths, A Level Further Maths, GCSE Physics and A Level Physics. I have taught students who are academically gifted and talented, struggling with mental or medical health issues as well as those who are disaffected with education. I have always retained a passionate enthusiasm to facilitate learning and enhance the lives of those I consider a privilege to invest time with. When I'm not helping others with their learning, I enjoy time with loved ones engaging in physical pursuits like swimming, cycling, and cooking.
