I'm Joe and I'm an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham. Along side studying for my degree, I enjoy learning languages, such as Catalan, in the hopes of travelling the world in the future. Likewise, I have a passion for baking (although I don't always get the time) as it's a great way to keep busy and getting some delicious food! I always struggled in school, often being below average at most subjects and not understanding concepts. When I got to GCSE level, my maths teacher made everything so much clearer when she explained things and I quickly began to rise in knowledge. She made me realise how important it is to have someone who is patient and will help you to understand any concept you're struggling with. I have GCSE qualifications in: Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Spanish, and Business Studies. I went on to study A levels at the same school and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, studying: Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Spanish. I'm now studying an Integrated Master's degree of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.

Using outstanding classroom management and engaging curriculum delivery to promote historical learning and aid student achievement. Over 90% of my GCSE and A-Level students have achieved 9-4 and A*C Secondly, I have a secure knowledge of historical subject concepts. I have a passion for continuing to learn history through broad networks of subject specialists within my school, The Royal Historical Society and other professional bodies. I use cutting edge historical scholarship to promote learning and a lifelong love for reading. This has enabled my students to improve their grades in history, and also their confidence as readers and as speakers. I embrace technology to demonstrate subject and disciplinary knowledge. I have a substantive background in history education. Studying history for 6 years at University, followed by my Post-graduate certificate in education. I just completed my placement year in a big pharmaceutical company, and on the path of attaining a first. I speak french fluently and vist France frequently to see my family. I have a big passion for travelling and appreciating different cultures and traditions. In my spare time i learn Arabic and Spanish along with attend online lectures from renowned scientists. I have gained qualifications in tutoring first year biomedical science students, additionally thanks to my placement year i have gained a strong knowledge in IT skills, having worked with softwares such as word, excel and one note. I completed a presentation workshop, enhancing my presentation and video conferencing skills. Furthermore, in my spare time i completed online courses to ameliorate my biology knowledge, these courses include Malaria, Covid- 19, Ebola and GCP.
