I am an enthusiastic tutor, whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I can teach GCSE maths. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of.

Hi, I am Mara! I have recently graduated from the University of Exeter where I studied Biological Sciences. Outside of my education, I am passionate about, sports, health and fitness and travelling. I consider myself very laid back and friendly, and prefer to adopt a relaxed and low pressure teaching approach when tutoring. I really look forward to getting to know you and hope I can be a part of your journey to reach your goals :) I have just graduated from the University of Exeter with a first-class degree in Biological Sciences. I have always been scientifically inclined - enjoying the science subjects at GCSE and A-level but I am well aware that the quantity of content can be quite overwhelming! I consider myself a very laid back, friendly and patient person and hope that I can apply the teaching approaches that worked best for me to help you get to grips with the content and achieve the grade you want!

I specialise in medieval/early modern literature and history. Have written a novel on Mary Tudor, Queen of France. Grade 6 piano player. Interested in editing - incl. SPaG, issues of clarity, and developmental. Pre-publication book reviewer. Love travelling to new places. Year 2 English/History student at the University of York. Achieved A*A*AA in A-Level English Literature, History, Religious Studies, and EPQ. Won the Mary Stuart Award for English Literature, the Historical Association’s Historical Fiction Writing Competion, and highly commended in the NCH History Essay Competition 2021.

My favourite subject at school was English! It allowed me to be creative and achieve great grades. In my spare time I like to game and read books. I also like to think I'm good at Table Tennis 😂. I am currently studying Finance and Accounting at the University of Bradford. It is my second year and I am aiming for a First.
