Hello! Thank you for reading my profile, I'm Abbie, a postgrad student in Japanese and Chinese translation. I am passionate about teaching and motivating my students to branch out from topics typical at school. My key aims in all lessons are to make steps towards building students' confidence in the desired subject and building upon academic skills to feel prepared for exams or tests. I strive to ensure my students enjoy each lesson, feel safe in my lesson space and feel comfortable asking and discussing anything about the subject. I plan my lessons to fit each student's style of learning and interests for example studying the history of manga in Japanese lessons or diving into the world of gothic literature in English lessons - there is something for everyone! I can help with exam preparation and practice and provide extra support/materials for personal study. Subjects I teach (up to GCSE): English Language and Literature, English as a Second Language, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Welsh I have been tutoring for over 3 years now, both abroad and in the UK. I have experience working with students of all ages and with different abilities (including language abilities). I have N3 proficiency in Japanese and high proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (traditional and simplified).

As an experienced tutor of 5+ years, I help students succeed academically in English and Math, from primary levels to higher levels of gymnasium or senior high school. Though I don't speak German, I bring enthusiasm to my work. I've taught diverse students from various online teaching platforms in Asia and South America, ranging from beginners to advanced learners. I have experience in one-on-one and group settings, using effective methods to meet academic needs. Outside of tutoring, I work as a registered chemical technician validating test results in a US-based laboratory, spend time with my German Shepherd and Yellow Labrador, travel, enjoy food, and continuously enhance my skills. About me: I am a Biotechnology Masters graduate. I grew up in England with regular trips to Finland to see my family. As for my hobbies I enjoy Rock climbing and scuba diving when I have the time. I also play D&D and board games with friends regularly throughout the week. Lower/GCSE level: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics A-level: Chemistry Exam board Experience: GCSE(AQA) IGCSE Languages: English (Native) SND Experience: Non I have achieved a Honours Degree in Biotechnology (BSc) as well as a Masters degree in biotechnology and applied biosciences (MSc) below those two achievements I passed a Btech in Combined maths and science to go to the university of my choice.

I’m an enthusiastic individual, that is keen on teaching children, of all ages, up until A-level. I have many different hobbies, such as playing sports and cooking different recipes, which is something I carry out in my free time. I’m also multilingual, as I can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently. I also have experience of teaching, as I ran my own personal tuition for primary school children, now moving unto secondary school, for English, which is something that I am carrying out now. I’m looking forward to teaching Primary school children, for both Maths and English, as well as English Language and English Literature for GCSE students, and in teaching Finance to A-level students. I have successfully achieved a grade 8 for English Literature, as well as a grade 6 for English language. In addition, I studied Finance as one of my A-level subjects and achieved an A*. I just completed my university degree in Accounting and Finance this year. I enjoy teaching a lot, and it’s something that I’ve always been passionate about, from a young age. I currently also work in a primary school alongside my studies which I recently completed, by doing 1-1 with SEN children, assisting them with their learning. This supports my ability to tutor as it gives me an insight into the different concepts children are learning in school, allowing me to provide my students with the help they need, as I'm aware of how important a child's education is, in shaping their future and I hope and wish to be a part of that.
