My favorite subject at school was History, where I particularly enjoyed the process of undertaking extended research around a specific topic in my coursework components. In my spare time, I enjoy watching films and documentaries. As a student myself, I have also frequently watched academic documentaries that I look forward to recommending to students as an excellent way to expand contextual knowledge of a topic outside class in a compelling and enjoyable way! Teaching approach: My teaching approach involves planning and creating detailed lessons materials, synthesizing textbook material into bitesize information for young students to teach them in an enjoyable and interactive environment. Visual aids, practice questions and interactive activities (particularly for young students) are incorporated into each lesson and post-lesson feedback is provided to the parent/student, including all PowerPoint slides and other lesson materials used during the lesson and any homework if preferred. Additionally, academic progress is monitored via an initial key topic list (detailed on the first slide of the PowerPoint slides) which is updated after each lesson, including progress on individual focus areas of improvement for the student. Moreover, if the parent/student prefers, comprehensive reports of academic progress, topics covered and key areas of strength and improvement can be sent every two months.

I’m a uni student at the university of Nottingham who loves to help others by using my own education experiences to do so. I consider myself outgoing and I love to meet and talk to new people in all contexts. I like to think that I am a confident and hard working person who is able to convey ideas across and explain things clearly. These skills and attributes, I feel make me a great fit for being a personal tutor. My hobbies include sports such as football, skiing and motorsports amongst many others, as well as travel and generally anything car related. I am currently at the university of Nottingham studying geography with business. For my A-levels I studied geography, government and politics and music. I found these subjects very helpful in gaining a broad knowledge in various disciplines. Both geography and politics are subjects which allowed me to develop points effectively and convey a compelling argument, as well as widening my scope of knowledge. I think my academical past will aid me greatly in helping others with their studies.

Hello! I'm a 28 year old teacher from Deal in Kent, on the South coast of the U.K. I have been teaching in Seoul in South Korea for the last four years, but have recently moved back to the U.K. I have taught English (as a second language), Economics, History and English Literature to secondary school students. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2017, with a degree in Economics and Management BSc. I'm a current MA student at UCL, studying Education and Development Economics. I'm passionate about education, and am excited about the possibilities of online tutoring for delivering focussed and tailored lessons for students, and helping them achieve their goals!
