Friendly and enthusiastic maths and science tutor for GCSE and A level. Currently doing a master's in Astrophysics at the University of York and have 2 years of tutoring experience. Whilst school can follow the same routine each day, I think it is important to make each lesson different and fun whilst learning the content to help students succeed in their subjects. As everyone learns differently I believe it is important to get to know the student as an individual and tailor each session to their requirements to get the most out of a lesson. It is important that students can not only answer exam questions but understand the content, therefore I aim to help students think outside the box and beyond the standard curriculum. I strongly believe this is will help students tackle difficult questions or new concepts in the future. I love athletics and am part of a local running club where I train for hurdles. I have also been playing the violin since I was young and love being part of my university orchestra. I am also learning German as a hobby; languages have always been my passion, and I enjoy learning different languages to communicate with others. I have served as a Mathematics Coordinator, where I led curriculum development and promoted effective teaching strategies among faculty. Additionally, I have trained and mentored students for mathematics quiz competitions, helping them develop the skills and confidence to excel. I love to meet other people and learn from their cultures...the world is a wonderful and diverse place and each of us have a purpose...I feel passionate about empowering people to reach their goals. Learning English is a wonderful communicative bridge. My teaching focus is adult learning with a range of CEFR level English A2 - C2. I especially encourage conversational English, focusing on the learner's environment (occupation, hobbies etc.) I have a Law degree, a Master's degree in Development and Management as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration. I am also a certified Life Coach and have been teaching at a tertiary institution for a number of years after practicing as an attorney. I have a Level 5 TEFL diploma and enjoy every moment of teaching English.

I am a former research scientist and now a professional tutor, and I offer tuition in biology, physics and chemistry GCSE and chemistry A level. I employ a steady pace with the student and frequently return to previously covered material to reinforce understanding. Wherever possibly to attempt to link the material covered to something relatable to the student. I strongly believe that every topic, if properly approached, can be a source of fascination. In my spare time I write science fiction novels, and am currently working on my first fantasy novel.
