My name is Hafsa and I am a Dental student at the University of Manchester. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Science and Maths has a huge importance in my life, a lot of it to do with my degree but also because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths in A-Levels, and A*A* and a 9 in GCSE, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my English teachers always applauded my excellent english analytical skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didnt understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to meantion all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. I have helped students prepare for 11 plus exam and also tutored KS3 students. Languages I am fluent in English and Urdu I can speak and understand Hindi and Punjabi SEND experience: I have experience of teaching students with ADHD and dyslexia Preferred Student Age Group I understand that one needs to adapt according to the student's age group- with primary year and middle year students you need to be very engaging and make the lessons as simple as possible whereas with GCSE and A-levels you can count on the student's foundational knowledge and use higher level of pedagogy. I mostly use powerpoint presentations to tutor KS3 students and while helping my students prepare for their 11+ exam, and it has proved to make lessons more engaging for them. However, in case of GCSE and A-levels, I invite my students to the whiteboard so we can solve, draw and practice in real-time. I believe that I am comfortable in working with students of all age groups: KS3, GCSE and A-levels. About Me I am a Civil Engineer pursuing a Master's in Water Resources Management, with over 9 years of experience in the STEM field. Since early 2022, I have taught Physics and Mathematics to Middle Year, GCSE, and A-Level students, with over 90% of my students achieving top grades (7+ in GCSE or A/A* at A-Level). My teaching approach ensures students not only understand the material but also enjoy the learning process. Academically, I have consistently ranked among the top performers: Rank 1 in my College Exam Board, Rank 5 in High School, a finalist in the International Chemistry Olympiad, and recipient of the prestigious Industrial Award during my undergraduate studies. Additionally, I earned a certification from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in "Learning to Teach Online," where I learned how to effectively use technology and innovative teaching techniques. My focus is on ensuring students grasp the "Thought Behind Things," enabling them to confidently approach any question and excel in their exams. I have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and graduated in 2019 with Industrial Award. I have a certification in Online Teaching from the University of New South Wales. I ranked 1st in my College board exam (2015) and ranked 5th in my High School board exam (2013).

I have a degree in Physics . My lessons are well structured with examples and I avoid memorization by guiding students with conceptual understanding. I strengthen students' basic understanding of the subject and then challenge them with critical thinking questions. I am punctual and never cancelled lessons

I love science the most ( that is why I am a secondary science teacher), spending time in nature, especially seaside. I try to go theatre often, read detective stories, play tennis and do a bit of pottery. Native Lithuanian speaker, also fluent in Russian language. Teaching science and biology in grammar school.
