Over 90% of my GCSE and A-Level students have achieved 9-4 and A*C Secondly, I have a secure knowledge of historical subject concepts. I have a passion for continuing to learn history through broad networks of subject specialists within my school, The Royal Historical Society and other professional bodies. I use cutting edge historical scholarship to promote learning and a lifelong love for reading. I have a substantive background in history education. Studying history for 6 years at University, followed by my Post-graduate certificate in education. My name is Mashika, and I am a civil engineer and a have also worked as a middle school and high school teacher at Villa Grimani International School. I have a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering that I am currently pursuing. Additionally, I am passionate about child psychology and have read extensively on the subject to deepen my understanding of how children learn. This has truly shaped my teaching style which involves alot of interactive discussions and problem solving which in turn leads to increased self confidence and reasoning ability in students. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of tutoring students of different ages and backgrounds in subjects such as Math, Chemistry, and Biology. This experience has strengthened my teaching skills, especially when it comes to understanding different student learning styles. I have found it fascinating to see how students grasp new concepts when they are related to real-life analogies. I'm a 3rd year student at University College London (UCL) studying for my Bachelors degree in Economics. As a result, I'm currently staying in London, although I grew up in West Bromwich, just outside of Birmingham. My interests include: - Football (Manchester United fan). - Boxing, primarily from the 60s/70s, the times of Ali, Liston and Foreman. - Mixed Martial Arts, primarily the UFC, One FC and Bellator, my three favourite fighters would have to be Demetrious Johnson, Alexander Volkanovski and Charles Oliveira. I am currently in my 3rd and final year of my Bachelors degree in Economics from University College London (UCL).
