Hi I'm Katie. In my free time I like to be with my friends, as well as social events within university, such as out chem eng society! Also, I enjoy cooking and baking and coming up with new recipes and flavours, as well as sharing this to my friends; especially cakes!

With more than 11 years of experience as a Maths Teacher and being a well-rounded educator, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students in key stages 1, 2, 3 and 4, thus enhancing my teaching techniques and instructional methods. I currently teach GCSE Maths and also A level Maths and IBDP MAA and MAI at college. I am a very enthusiastic and energetic with a good sense of humor, and I bring these qualities with me to every session I give. I firmly believe that if the teacher is excited and interested, the students will be, too. My hope is to leave my students with a positive impression of education, and to feel they had a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher who brought curiosity and creativity to the educational process. I hold a Master's in Teaching and Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. I have been teaching the British Curriculum for more than 11 years. My experiences in education have led me to believe that there are several keys for successful teaching: deep knowledge of the material; high expectations; fostering interaction between teachers and students, honest inspiration and enthusiasm for math; engaging a diversity of learning styles; and dedication to my development as a teacher.

Lower level : Science, English, and Horticulture (Plant Science) and Maths ; GCSE level : Biology and Horticulture (Plant Science); A-level: Horticulture (Plant Science); Higher level: Horticulture(Plant Science). Language: Full proficiency - English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese and Sanskrit. Secondary School Education: Science (Grade- A), English (Grade- A) and Maths (Grade-A) with 9.4 CGPA in total ; Higher Secondary School Education: Biology (96%) and Biology-Physics-Chemistry (85.6%). Bachelor of Science (Honors) Horticulture: 1st class Honors ; Master of Science in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security: Pass with Distinction.

I am a year 2 student at university studying Biological sciences Bsc. I have tutored and taught for many years now in the subjects including biology and chemistry. I have also taught primary school children up until ks3. My favourite subject in teaching is biology. I’m on the path to becoming a research scientist in the near future.
