I'm Ellen, your friendly maths tutor! When not unravelling the mysteries of numbers, I'm into yoga, swimming, and weight training, ensuring daily exercise. Alongside, my passion for hiking takes me to new heights of adventure. Furthermore, fuelled by wanderlust, I aim to explore as many countries as possible. In 2018, I proudly received my PGCE in Mathematics Teaching from King's College London, following my (2:1) Chemistry BSc (Hons) from the University of Manchester in 2017. Throughout my academic journey, I attained A*, A, and B grades in A-Level Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, respectively. For GCSEs, I secured 3 A*s, 5 As, and 2 Bs. With this strong foundation, I'm committed to providing supportive guidance to my students as they navigate the world of mathematics.

Hi there, I'm a medical student at the University of York. I enjoy playing sports, especially football and am a Man Utd fan. I love reading and teaching and teach from primary school level, through secondary school and all the way up to A-level for certain subjects. Hi there, In my GCSEs, I achieved ten Grade 9s and one Grade 8. I then studied four A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science, achieving 2A*s and 2As. In between, I also sat BMAT and UCAT medical entrance exams in which I achieved a score of 3000.

Hello, I from London, but I am currently a first year Dental student at Newcastle University. I have been tutoring various subjects for over 4 years now, which I have grown to really enjoy and become super passionate about! My favourite hobbies include ballet, piano and violin. For GCSEs I attended my local school. For A-levels, I moved schools where I obtained a scholarship for a private school. I am now studying at Newcastle University, hoping to become a dentist. I have a first-class bachelor’s degree in philosophy and classics from The Open University, where I studied a wide range of topics such as ethics, metaphysics, logic, ancient history, literature, and culture. I am currently studying a Philosophy MA at Birkbeck University. I have always been intellectually driven and have experience in learning efficiently and effectively. My teaching style is enthusiastic, explorative, and attentive. I aim to inspire my students to discover the beauty and relevance of English Literature and Language and to help them develop their critical thinking and analytical skills. I tailor my lessons to suit the needs and interests of each student, and I provide them with detailed feedback and guidance. I teach English, as well as Philosophy and Ancient Languages, at various levels, from beginners to intermediate and have a strong knowledge of GCSE and A level Syllabi. I believe that learning can be not only intellectually rewarding, but also enjoyable. I use a variety of resources and methods to make my lessons engaging and interactive, such as games, quizzes, videos, podcasts, key texts, and images. I also encourage my students to express their own opinions and perspectives, and to engage in lively discussions with me and with each other. I have been working as a tutor as part of the National Tutoring Scheme for the past year. In that time, I have been consistently praised for my creative, engaging and understanding approach to tuition. I have also completed a Teach First course in a Further Education environment, in which I shadowed experienced teachers, learnt about effective teaching practice, and presented my own lesson to senior educators to rave reviews.
