My name is Pooja Yadav, and I am an enthusiastic teacher specializing in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. I have extensive experience teaching GCSE Mathematics and Science, as well as A-level Chemistry and Mathematics. I have worked with both the Irish and UK curricula and have expertise in preparing students for the 11+ entrance exams for Grammar Schools. I am dedicated to supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN) students and have significant experience teaching learners with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to the unique needs of every student. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology and possess over a decade of experience in teaching. As a tutor, I’m passionate about making learning enjoyable and helping students experience that “lightbulb moment” when everything clicks. With my background in Maths, Geography, and Economics, and a BSc in Economics, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to my lessons. Having achieved top GCSE and IB grades, I understand the challenges students face, and I use that experience to guide pupils aged 11–18 through their learning journey with patience and clarity. I’ve always loved supporting others—whether it’s working with my sibling to boost their grades or mentoring younger students in school. My approach to tutoring is all about creating a supportive, interactive, and fun environment where pupils feel encouraged to ask questions and build their confidence. I lay out clear plans for each lesson to ensure we stay on track, but I also keep things engaging so learning doesn’t feel like a chore. From 11-18 I attended Dartford Grammar School after getting 421/423 in my 11+ exams. In my GCSEs I achieved eight level 9s (including Geography), two level 8s (Maths) and one level 6. At sixth form we did the IB, where I achieved all level 7s in my subjects which included higher Economics, Geography and Standard Maths. Then I attended the University of Nottingham and studied BSc Economics where I achieved a 2:1 including a first class in my dissertation.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting in 2017 from the University of San Jose-Recoletos. During my time in college, I had the privilege of serving as the Supreme Student Council Auditor, where I gained valuable leadership and organizational experience. Additionally, I worked as a tutor for grade school students, where I developed a passion for teaching and helping others succeed academically.

I am a dedicated and passionate maths tutor who has experience for over 4 years in tutoring for SATS, GCSE and A-level students. I have an effective way of explaining key concepts clearly to student’s in an engaging and collaborative manner. My patience and experience allow me to adapt easily to the student’s needs. I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific needs who often have varying learning paces and styles. I am supportive, students are encouraged to ask questions, not only during lessons but throughout the week. Motivating students is essential and part of the learning journey by building their confidence and exploring their understanding. My main aim is to get students ready for exams through using my own structured techniques I used during my GCSEs and A-levels which helped me obtain grade A and A*. I currently have a mixture of students, with varying abilities between year 6 and year 11. I am currently studying Money, Banking, and Finance as a final-year student at the University of Birmingham. I've secured A* in Economics and Psychology, and an A in Maths at A-levels. Additionally, I attained all 7,8,9s in my GCSEs, showcasing excellence in subjects like Maths and Business Studies. I currently have a mix of students between year 6 and year 11.
