My name is Katy and I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Politics & Modern History. I have been living in Spain & France so am fluent in both languages whilst tutoring to a wide range of ages for the past few years. I am calm, interactive and experienced and enjoy working with students to help achieve their goals. I am TEFL certified, and have plenty of experience with all GCSE & A level examination boards. With regards to languages, I am able to support students in all aspects of exam preparation, from reading & writing to speaking & listening. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian & Chinese history, as well as Modern African history, whilst including modules in advanced Spanish. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied a range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English literature, Physics and Maths.

Lower level subjects: Mathematics, Sciences, 11+ GCSE: Mathematics, Chemistry I love mathematics and sciences and therefore being able to help others progress in these subjects is something I thoroughly enjoy. I have previously tutored in these subjects both online and face-to--face and have always received positive feedback for my use of tools, my positive attitude and my ability to adapt and tailor my sessions to each student. I love to play sports (particularly athletics) and try new activities such as learning new musical instruments and languages. I am currently an economics undergraduate university student with a keen interest in mathematics and the sciences. I received A*AA in my A-levels in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry respectively. I would say I am a very logical thinker when it comes to my academics, which of course has helped me progress so much in my preferred subjects.

I am Tom, I am 21 years old, and am currently in my 4th year (master's year) studying Physics with Astrophysics at Newcastle University. When having a break from work, I enjoy windsurfing, drumming, and learning Swedish. The prior two I have done some teaching in, albeit non-analytical, have provided me with a strong sense of communication and the ability to simplify elements of the task at hand. I am fluent in English, and as said previously, I have been learning Swedish and continue to do so. I have been teaching myself Swedish for the past 3 years, and have intermediate proficiency in the language. I am a Grade 8 Rockschool-qualified drummer and have also been teaching myself guitar for the past few years, and have done some informal lessons.
