Hi, I’m James Farrow and I am 18 and studying at LSE. My course is pretentiously named International Social and Public Policy with Politics and it encapsulates my adoration for all things maths, politics and economics and I would love the opportunity to pass on my interests to others. I tutor GCSE Maths and A-level Politics Exam board experience: Edexcel and AQA I have experience tutoring KS3 and sixth-form (11-18) My main aims as a tutor are to engage students with content that challenges them in a rewarding way, but also connect them to content that facilitates a change in their mindset. My hobbies range from poker and chess to schooling my friends at the pool table. They would say I’m competitive but that’s an advantage as it means I strive for greatness and even I fail the process and its lessons are invaluable. I'm a qualified teacher with a First Class degree in Business Economics and a Masters in Management. With over 1,100 online tutoring sessions under my belt, I've helped countless students achieve their academic goals. My adaptable approach and real-world experience ensure that you get the most out of every lesson. My experience working in UK secondary schools and as an examiner gives me a unique understanding of the curriculum and assessment process. I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs, using real-world examples to make learning engaging and effective. As a former secondary school teacher, I understand the unique challenges students face. My usual tutoring hours are Monday to Thursday 10am - 6:30pm and occasional Saturday mornings (10am to 12 noon). Language: English (Mother Tongue) My name is Megan and I specialise in Business Studies and Economics tutoring. I completed my A Levels in 2014 in Business Studies, Economics and Accounting before going on to complete a Business Economics degree, I was awarded a First Class Degree with Honours. I completed my Masters Degree in Management and following this I trained to be a teacher, teaching Business Studies and Economics to students aged 14-18 in state secondary schools before making the move to tutoring. I use a variety of methods when delivering lessons to students, such as the use of verbal questioning, written questions, modelling answers and knowledge checks. This helps students to develop their knowledge and put this knowledge into practice. I also carry out a detailed analysis of students needs and requirements in the trial session or first session to give me a good understanding of where the focus needs to be. I am also an examiner and this has given me a great insight into how exams are marked and a good understanding of what is required from students.

I am an enthusiastic individual not only with fantastic communication skills but also a hard-working nature and take my work very seriously. I can create unique relationships with people. I like to support and help others develop. I am always looking for the positives in every situation. I am open to learning in the ways I may lack as I am always looking for ways to improve the way I perform so I can work to the highest standards possible in my role. I have a logical approach to learning and so I believe I would be able to explain complex principles simply. I enjoy seeing positive student interactions and feedback during sessions. I am very excited to be a part of GoStudent. I have just finished my A levels and currently hold an offer to study medicine. My A-Level subjects include BIology chemistry and maths of which chemistry was my favourite. regardless, I have a solid track record in Maths, which I believe is due to my ability to grasp concepts quickly and easily.

Currently a medical student at top 10 university in the world. Received A*A*AA at A levels in the subjects Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and History and have grades ranging from 8 - 6 in GCSE'S. 7 in Maths, 8 in English language and 3 A's in Science. I Hold a keen passion and interest for biology and maths, and will love to share this passion with other students. With past tutoring experience, tutoring biology and chemistry and mentoring children, I have the skills needed to tutor ! My tutoring approach is adaptable depending on the child, I use a vigorous and engaging approach whilst tutoring, maintaining and enhancing the strength's of the child and working on their weaknesses.
