Hi there! I’m Lorraine Llagas 👩‍🏫 A Passionate Educator. I’ve spent several years in the teaching profession, with most of my career dedicated to teaching Philosophy at the tertiary level. For the past 8 years, I’ve been sharing my love for Social Science with senior high school students. Outside the classroom, I’m passionate about lifelong learning and personal growth. I enjoy seeking new knowledge and skills, diving into various genres of books, striving for self-improvement, staying active and healthy, and exploring new places and cultures. 🎓 My Educational Journey Graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Pursued graduate studies in Philosophy at Ateneo de Manila University. Recently completed a Diploma in Social Studies Education from the University of the Philippines Open University.

I am a dedicated tutor with experience teaching English, Chemistry, and Biology to students of various levels. I create engaging and tailored lessons to suit different learning styles, helping students improve comprehension, build confidence, and excel in exams. My goal is to make learning interactive and enjoyable while ensuring academic success. With experience in one-to-one tuition, I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, helping them achieve their full potential. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy baking and painting, as well as exploring new creative projects. I am currently studying MPharm at a Russell Group university, which provides me with a strong foundation in Chemistry and Biology. My academic background allows me to teach these subjects confidently, ensuring students develop a clear understanding of complex concepts. In addition, I have 2 years of experience teaching English to Years 7 to 11 in a tuition setting, where I helped students improve their writing, comprehension, and exam techniques. My experience in one-to-one tutoring has strengthened my ability to tailor lessons to individual learning styles, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.

Currently studying BSc Physiotherapy at Brunel University of London, after studying A Level Psychology, Biology and PE. I want to give back to students the type of tutoring I received during my studies; though exam practice, interactive sessions and content revision I am currently studying towards a degree in Physiotherapy at Brunel University. I achieved A*AB in A level Psychology, Biology and PE. At GCSE I studied geography, PE, Citizenship and Spanish. All of these subjects come together to aid my current studies.

motivated 2nd year Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine student at the University of Nottingham, having achieved A*/9/A in the sciences and math at both GCSE and A-level, I love helping people and watching them succeed is extremely rewarding. In my spare time I like watching and playing chess, as well as playing basketball. I went to Colchester Royal Grammar School during my A-levels, where I took 4 A-level subjects (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and achieved A*/A in all four. During my time there, I have also volunteered to tutor GCSE biology to lower grade students, and recently have also joined another tutoring agency called Get Further, which aims to help disadvantaged students in further education colleges reach core functional GCSE grades like Maths and English in order to move to higher education, improving issues like social mobility
