Hello! My name is Miski, and I am a final year Medical Student who is passionate about teaching. I have taught from primary school level all the way to teaching fellow medical students in the years below. I was lucky enough to discover my love for teaching at a young age, and its something I wish to continue for the rest of my life. Helping others understand difficult concepts is an immensely rewarding feeling and I consider it a huge privilege to be part of that journey :) I teach Maths, English and Biology up to GCSE. Hello, my name is Kirstie and I have been teaching for 20 years. I have spent time both in British secondary schools and in schools in Vietnam and Singapore. My main subject and passion is the study of History and I can teach this from Key Stage 3 all the way up to A-Level. My favourite period is the Tudors and I particularly enjoy the stories of the women of this time. I also tutor KS3 English and GCSE English Language and English Literature and am very familiar with AQA, Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards. I also have experience teaching Geography up to GCSE and find the two subjects actually quite complement each other with many of the themes over-lapping. I discovered a love for geography from my love of the great outdoors – I would often find myself on the top of a mountain admiring glacial landscapes and wondering how all the features were formed. This in turn links to my philosophy for education: I believe education should be a journey of discovery that allows the learner to move forwards with their knowledge and understanding of the world around them without putting them under so much pressure that they don’t enjoy it. I believe that effort is necessary in order to be successful, but that learning should not be a struggle or something that is dreaded. I am here to help students achieve their goals and become successful members of their community. In my spare time I enjoy running and drinking coffee with friends. I have 2 cats and have been married for almost 7 years. I am currently learning French in order to pursue my dream of moving to France to start a new life on the continent. As well as my degree in History and English and Literary Studies and my PGCE History, I have a TESOL certificate. I spent a month in Prague getting my TESOL and then taught ESL in Vietnam for 2 years. Outside of classroom education, I have my Lowland Leader award and spent 4 years running the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school.

I'm a 3rd year student at University College London (UCL) studying for my Bachelors degree in Economics. As a result, I'm currently staying in London, although I grew up in West Bromwich, just outside of Birmingham. My interests include: - Football (Manchester United fan). - Boxing, primarily from the 60s/70s, the times of Ali, Liston and Foreman. - Mixed Martial Arts, primarily the UFC, One FC and Bellator, my three favourite fighters would have to be Demetrious Johnson, Alexander Volkanovski and Charles Oliveira. I am currently in my 3rd and final year of my Bachelors degree in Economics from University College London (UCL). I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at King Edward VI Handsworth Grammar School For Boys. A-Levels: Maths (A*), Further Maths (A), Economics (A), Physics (B) GCSEs: 11 GCSEs at 8-6, including Maths (8), English Language (7), English Literature (7).
