I am an Economics student in the middle of my degree at Royal Holloway University of London. I have 5 years of tutoring experience and which has allowed me to develop my method of teaching a lot. My hobbies consist of playing and watching football and basketball. I have recently become very interested in playing golf and producing music also! I went to secondary school at Reading School, where I had to take the 11+ to get in. I did my GCSEs and A-Levels here. I went to Royal Holloway University of London after my A-Levels. Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out! Other hobbies of mine include: reading and travelling. I hope on gostudent i can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise. More importantly i want to help build up your confidence; often you know a-lot more than you think you do. But, if not, i can support you to getting to a place of assurance in your desired subject- we will work together to get you to a level you want to be. As a tutor i want to scrub up and polish the foundations you already have- which i am confident will bring closer to your target grade! I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!

Not only have I been given the opportunity to tutor subjects I love, I have also been given the opportunity to share my passion of English and History with students who want to achieve the best exam results they possibly can. English and history have always been subjects I have taken to naturally, achieving A* in Literature and History at A-Level, however, I have really struggled in other subjects where I found it difficult to comprehend the information taught to me. Because of this, I have patience and empathy in teaching areas you may not be 100% assured in and I am able to adapt teaching styles to ensure I deliver information effectively to give the best learning experience possible. I can plan lessons according to what you feel you need to work on, ranging from homework tasks, knowing course content or exam technique. For reference, I studied Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, Jekyll and Hyde and Power and Conflict poetry at GCSE. I studied Othello, Death of a Salesman, Oliver Twist, When Will there be Good News and Tragedy and Crime poetry at A-Level. In History GCSE I studied: Medicine through time, The Cold War, Elizabethan England, Weimar and Nazi Germany, and The Western Front. At A-Level I studied Poverty and Public Health in England, Russia from Lenin to Yeltsin, and the Origins of WW1 for coursework. Sometimes the hardest thing in exams is knowing the answers but struggling to put ideas on paper for fear of it being incorrect. I aim to inspire confidence in everyone I tutor to ensure exam questions can be tackled with assurance and not apprehension. I am not just a tutor, I am a supporter who is rooting for you all the way and I have seen the benefits of a little encouragement going a long way. Lower Level: English and History GCSE: English Literature, Language and History A-Level: English Literature and History I am currently a Law student at the University of Manchester looking to maintain and share my passion of English and History to students who want to achieve the best grades they possibly can. My goal is to motivate students to want to learn and be enthusiastic about their studies. I therefore make it my mission to make lessons as engaging as possible with students feeling a sense of achievement once the lesson has ended in the work they have done and the ideas they have offered.
