My name is Corina, and I am an Engineering student. Since the start of my academic journey, I began to cultivate great interest towards Math's and Sciences, finding the challenging nature of these subjects to be extremely rewarding. This has now led me to my current area of study, which I am enjoying more by the day. As a student, I understand from first hand how overwhelming these subjects can feel, as they are fast-paced and new concepts are constantly being introduced. However, over the course of my academic journey I have truly learned the importance of developing comprehensive understanding of the key concepts and how to organise effective revision plans. As a tutor, I look forward to helping students gain understanding of the foundations of each topic, so we can build confidence in approaching more complex situations. Math's and Science can be fun! When I am not studying, I enjoy to partake in physical activities and preserve a healthy work-to-life balance by dedicating time to my friends and most importantly, my family. My main hobbies include reading and painting. As for the future, I am aiming to become a Charted Structural Engineer and I would really like to learn a fourth language! Previously, I studied Math’s, Physics and Biology at A-Level, achieving A, B, A respectively. In my GCSEs I achieved 7s and above in all subjects, with Maths and Science being at grades 8.

My name's Isabelle and I'm here to help learning fun and rewarding! I love learning and would love to share that passion with my students, whether it's for English, French or German, my three specialities. I have previously taught English in the classroom as a foreign language, an experience which I bring to my tutoring sessions, delivering engaging, fun and constructive classes. I am currently studying a Masters in Translation and Professional Language Skills at the University of Bath, having graduated in 2022 with a first class degree in French and German. At A-level, I studied English Literature, French and Psychology, receiving AAA* respectively. My studies have also given me a strong understanding of the two cultures, involving studies in the literature, linguistics, history, art and even cinema of France and Germany. I know how to craft a strong essay as this also formed a core part of my assessment, alongside language exams. I graduated with a First Class honours and Distinction in Spoken German. At college I studied English, French and Psychology, passing with excellent grades (A, A, A*) thanks to tireless hours of revision. I also completed an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) in English Literature during this time, so I am happy to provide support in this area too. At GCSE level I achieved 7 A*s (including in English Literature, Language and French) and 3 As.

I am currently studying Law at Durham University and have started to tutor in the summer, whilst I am at home. At university, I have joined the dance society. I play the piano and the flute and enjoy listening to all different types of music, from pop to classical! During my time at school I was in the school band and performed in various charity showcases. English and History were my favourite subjects at GCSE, so I decided to take them at A-Level. I enjoy learning about the past, with my favourite topic being medicine throughout time. My favourite area of English is poetry, and I enjoy reading a vast majority of poems from different periods in time analysing what the poems wider message symbolises.
