I am currently in my second year at the University of Nottingham. I tutor A Level and GCSE English, GCSE History and 11+ entrance tests online. I did A Level English literature as well as GCSE history and english. My primary goal is to create a safe space where I can help others improve their skills surrounding these humanities-based subjects I completed my A Levels at Pate’s Grammar School with an A in English Literature, A in Politics and B in economics and GCSE with 9s in Maths, English literature and language, and history, as well as 8s in biology, chemistry, physics, business, religious studies and music. I am currently studying Classics at the University of Nottingham.

I am currently studying for my masters in Civil Engineering, I enjoy tutoring and have experience in tutoring both GCSE and A Level students, having acquired high grades in these subjects and levels myself. My goal is to help students understand the methods for each question, instead of simply finding the answer, helping them to continue to succeed when tackling questions of a similar nature within an exam setting.

I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I am a passionate and patient teacher dedicated to making learning enjoyable and rewarding to my students. In my spare time, I write and produce for a podcast and a campus newspaper in English, and I'm in the orchestra of Le Havre as a violinist. My first language is Mandarin. Research Experience: I had research attanchment at Nanyang Technological University before coming to France for my University, under the Biochemistry department. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.

Levels and subjects: GCSE: Biology, Chemistry, Math A-Level: Biology, Chemistry, Math Exam board experience: I have studied and taught AQA biology and chemistry to both GCSE and A-Level students. Alongside this, I have experience teaching AQA and Edexcel math to both GCSE and A-Level students. I have also successfully tutored students taking the UCAT and BMAT and then preparing them for medical school interviews. Languages: I am fluent and comfortable in tutoring in both English and Urdu. Preferred student age group: I have prior experience in teaching GCSE and A-Level students so am comfortable teaching students in secondary school through to sixth form/college. About me: Having moved from Pakistan to the UK at a very young age, I was fortunate enough to stay and study here. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels and did very well in both. I am now in a gap year but hold an unconditional offer to study medicine at Leicester Medical School, beginning September 2024. Away from my studies I love travelling and experiencing new cultures, and have been fortunate enough to travel to several countries in the last year alone. Through this, I have learnt some of life's most important lessons and have grown as a person which has allowed me to reflect and understand exactly who I want to be. I am a firm believer that striking a good balance between work and our personal lives is vital to living a happy and fulfilling life. I am currently on a Gap year, but have accepted an unconditional offer to study medicine at Leicester Medical School beginning September 2024. Below you will find both my GCSE and A-Level results.
