I’m a determined individual, driven to provide the best possible help I can for students to achieve their desired goals. Having sat A-Levels myself and having worked in an 11+ Tuition centre for over a year, I believe I have plenty experience to put to use.

Currently a cover supply at a school therefore I am up to date with new and current maths and GCSE all science . I have been tutoring maths and all sciences for 7 years. I have experience working with ages from 5-16 and also experienced working with SEN students. Throughout the pandemic, I have been tutoring online, therefore, having an understanding of how to keep students engaged . I also teach 11+ to students who would like to join grammar schools and independent schools and private schools.

I’m an undergraduate student at Queen’s University, Belfast where I am studying computer engineering. I tutor GCSE maths, physics and computer science, I try to help students develop problem solving and logical skills around these areas of study as well as an understanding of the course.

I have a first-class bachelor’s degree in philosophy and classics from The Open University, where I studied a wide range of topics such as ethics, metaphysics, logic, ancient history, literature, and culture. I am currently studying a Philosophy MA at Birkbeck University. I have always been intellectually driven and have experience in learning efficiently and effectively. My teaching style is enthusiastic, explorative, and attentive. I aim to inspire my students to discover the beauty and relevance of English Literature and Language and to help them develop their critical thinking and analytical skills. I tailor my lessons to suit the needs and interests of each student, and I provide them with detailed feedback and guidance. I teach English, as well as Philosophy and Ancient Languages, at various levels, from beginners to intermediate and have a strong knowledge of GCSE and A level Syllabi. I believe that learning can be not only intellectually rewarding, but also enjoyable. I use a variety of resources and methods to make my lessons engaging and interactive, such as games, quizzes, videos, podcasts, key texts, and images. I also encourage my students to express their own opinions and perspectives, and to engage in lively discussions with me and with each other. I have been working as a tutor as part of the National Tutoring Scheme for the past year. In that time, I have been consistently praised for my creative, engaging and understanding approach to tuition. I have also completed a Teach First course in a Further Education environment, in which I shadowed experienced teachers, learnt about effective teaching practice, and presented my own lesson to senior educators to rave reviews.
