I am a certified TESOL teacher who studied English at college, and law and business studies at university. I spent three years teaching English in Tokyo, Japan - first for a language school and then in business. Since returning to the UK, I have taught for many different companies and also as a private home tutor. I'm used to teaching adults and children of all ages and am accustomed to working towards examinations. As a tutor, it's important that my student feels comfortable and has confidence in my abilities to help them progress so I have a relaxed manner when teaching but with an eye on reaching targets. So we will look at the areas where you need help, look at your existing approach to learning and work out strategies to get you where you need to be. I enjoy writing and sometimes write content for websites. I'm also great at watching tennis - not so good at playing though. I spent lockdown doing a lot of baking with friends online and caught up on watching some of the films that I'd always been meaning to watch. Now that the world is opening up again, I'm keen to do some travelling and hopefully some watersports - two other passions of mine. I look forward to meeting you, to teaching you and to helping you! I am a recent graduate of Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Bristol with a passion for both physics and mathematics which I hope I can pass to students while making the topics engaging and relevant to the real world. I have always had a great love for physics and science since I was very young when I was amazed by watching the stars in the night sky. I understand that many students feel daunted or overwhelmed by STEM topics like physics and maths, but I hope that I can use my experience and enthusiasm for the subject to find some avenue through which the subject can be understood and hopefully enjoyed. I have always enjoyed the opportunity to teach and explain concepts to people and believe I am skilled at finding some relatable comparison to difficult concepts which help the recipient understand what is trying to be conveyed. I am also very skilled in exam technique, preparation and revision applying many different techniques to achieve the best outcome. This skill is essential for all students during their studies and one which I would help cultivate throughout my time tutoring. I am an engineer french student currently in Wolverhampton. I am quite sporty, I run at least once a week. I used to play vollyball in a club for 10years. I still do some and badminton with my friends. I love to travel. I went to Japan by myself, it was amazing! I plan to go back, to work and with my family. I also went to China, New York and other countries.
