Hello! I'm Vince Hendrick Carangan, a dedicated Mathematics teacher with nine years of experience in fostering a love for math in students of all levels. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of helping students not only excel academically but also develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. One of my passions is training students for math competitions, where they can challenge themselves, apply what they've learned, and grow their skills in a competitive environment. Recently, two of my students achieved an incredible accomplishment by winning gold medals in an international math competition, a proud moment that reflects their dedication and our shared commitment to excellence. Witnessing their success has been a rewarding reminder of the impact that teaching and mentorship can have. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Mathematics to deepen my expertise and bring even more value to my students. This advanced study allows me to continually refine my teaching methods, enriching the learning experiences of every student I work with.

I am currently a first year Economics student at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed maths and while A-Level economics was a lot of fun and extremely interesting especially during the pandemic, it is taking some time to enjoy studying the discipline at a university level. When I’m not stuck studying or doing some sort of society work I love to go for a run(on the treadmill though), re read any one of Jane Austen’s book or go for long walks with a friend.

For about 4 years now and with 3000+ hours of teaching experience, I have helped several students turn their grades around in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths for Gcse and A-Levels. I have an ESL certification (TESOL) which helps me communicate best with non-native speakers. I love traveling, cooking, reading novels, and playing with my cat Nora. Teaching is also something I have come to love as a hobby and very well enjoy.
