Hello, I'm Armi, an English teacher since 2021. Having completed my postgraduate studies in 2023, my primary focus is English teaching, although I find joy in exploring various academic subjects. My classes are conducted entirely in English, aiming for an immersive learning experience. Beyond teaching, I'm passionate about community service, have military experience, and enjoy figure skating and fashion modeling for international competitions. My ultimate goal is to support your success in today's world by fostering an engaging and effective English learning environment. I have a strong academic background with honors in Business Management from Singapore and Marketing Management from the Philippines. I'm certified in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners), and have a Certificate in Professional Development focused on evidence-based teaching methods. My diverse skills, along with my passion for literary and theater arts, make me a well-rounded and effective educator.

I studied Maths, Physics and PE at A-level then I went to University to study maths with Finance. I played rugby from age 6-18, I still enjoy watching it and occasionally refereeing. In my spare time I enjoy reading, running, going to the gym and training Muay Thai. I graduated in Maths with Finance this summer at Newcastle University. My current job involves going round schools and colleges in the UK and delivering presentations on Newcastle University or science in general. I really enjoy it and it’s made me consider teaching as a long term career. This summer I plan on going back to New York and working as a lifeguard on a summer camp like I did last summer. Following this I plan on moving to Sydney Australia to work in a graduate position. I did my GCSE’s at Kettlethorpe High School. I went to New College Pontefract and did three A-levels in Maths, PE and Physics. I got A*AB. I then did an undergraduate degree at Newcastle University in Maths with Finance. I mainly chose applied modules at university which involved more calculus.

I am passionate about teaching, and I'm available to tutor students online in a variety of subjects. I am able to plan lessons around students needs. My passion for law led me to the University of Kent, where I earned a First-Class Law LLB (Hons) degree. I am currently awaiting the results of my LLM LPC from BPP University, having successfully completed my exams. In addition to my academic achievements, I am also pursuing a diploma in Mridangam, holding a Grade 7.
