I was born in Norwich, England and completed my schooling in South Africa. I have a passion for teaching and I believe that we are capable of learning so much more when we are enjoying ourselves. I have a clear and easily understood accent and I cannot wait to meet you in the classroom where pronunciation, good grades and fun are the name of the game. I enjoy helping children overcome difficulties with speech and interpretation of the English language. I am qualified to teach English children(TEFL) and adults (CELTA). I have completed more than 7,000 practical lessons or 2,500 hours of teaching students online. I have 5 years worth of informal face-to-face teaching in a SundaySchool classroom. I have 20 years worth of experience training adults in the telecommunications sector. I successfully completed my first year of teachers training in 1979 and had to stop due to ill health.

My name's John and I am an undergraduate student situated in Canterbury. Having a passion for reading and writing, I hope to use the GoStudent platform as an opportunity to help students studying English literature and language. Much of my tutoring is informed by my own experience's studying English Lit and Lang for GCSE and A Levels, as well as by my time working with children and young adults through the Scouting organisation for over 5 years. I achieved great success at school due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I completed my A-levels last year achieving an A* in Mathematics, A* in Further Mathematics and A in Computer Science. I chose to pursue a Master’s degree in Engineering to specialize in Robotics. In my spare time, I like to socialise with my friends and family, play cricket for my local club, travel to unexplored regions and read self-development books.
