At A-level I studied mathematics, chemistry and biology, with an added AS level in further mathematics and an EPQ detailing the effects of water fluoridation on tooth decay. In these subjects I received all As and A*s, with mathematics being a particular strong suit where I achieved the highest grades possible in A-level maths (A*), AS-level further maths (A) and GCSE maths (grade 9). In my spare time, I am fond of drumming, having achieved a grade 8 with distinction. I really want you to get the best grade possible, and will use my knowledge of the exams i sat myself as well as the exams i have helped others sit to ensure this!

I am experienced SEN TA working as an Intervention Teacher with those who have fallen behind particularly with reading, comprehension skills, writing, maths work and SATs. I have a BA Hons degree English Literature, Language and Primary Education. I live on a small holding in the middle of rural Somerset with my husband, 2 sons and animals. I enjoy teaching especially when the weather lets us learn outside. My hobbies are cooking, reading, doing puzzles, riding, yoga, and watching my sons play rugby and their water sports. I graduated with a First in BSc Medical Sciences Firstly, we will work out the student's weak topics using a past paper. Then, we will focus on those topics. I am good at explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way. I use homework videos and questions to reinforce the student's knowledge. I also use end of topic tests and past papers. We will set time-specific goals, so the student has already achieved their target grade by the time their exam comes around. I know exactly what the examiners are looking for in your answers, so I will coach you on how to gain all the marks for each type of question. By the time we have spent a few months together, your understanding will have improved greatly.
