Preferred student age group: GCSE & A-Level. About Me: I was that kid in school that never wanted to have a day off! I believe education is the one powerful tool that no one can ever take away from you- and that is what drives my passion to help students with their studies. I achieved 14 GCSE’s at secondary school and went on to achieve a Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. In Primary School, I was awarded the Jack Petchey Youngest Achiever Award. However, education is not whole without some fun; I have also taken part in extra curricular activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I am the co-founder of the charity Broaden Out Their Horizons along with Harry Potter actress Helena Bonham Carter. Through this charity, I flew to South Africa to teach English Literature to underprivileged children at Magoba School. My teaching method: I believe in tailoring each lesson depending on the individual's needs. I am open to using different methods and have a very friendly approach in order to help students meet their learning needs! I want the students to feel comfortable and to enjoy their learning to the maximum! A Level- English Literature, Biology and Chemistry University- Master of Pharmacy I went to Primary/Secondary school and Sixth Form in London before moving out to Nottingham for university. I was at university for four years and completed my MPharm degree. During this time, I studied the second year of my degree at Nottingham's Malaysia Campus. My years of education have been pivotal in shaping the the person I am today.

I enjoy challenging myself and am a self-taught electric guitar player and previously played in a band. I have a passion for cars & motor-sport especially F1. I am hugely interested in fitness/health and attend the gym several times a week in addition to road/trail running. My focus is to complete an Ultramarathon towards the end of 2022. Furthermore, I have completed a diploma in sports & exercise nutrition. I love keeping my brain stimulated and read a wide variety of subjects from psychology/negotiations to space & engineering. I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I work primarily with children in Year 5 and 6 in maths, and also children who are preparing for their Grammar School 11+ exam. However, I cover maths, English and science up to Year 8 level, 11+ exam preparation, English as a second language (for adults and children), and home schooling for primary school children. I am a member of MENSA, and I have achieved this because I work very routinely and am able to break things down into step-by-step techniques. These techniques are passed on through my tutoring, especially in maths, and I have had great feedback and results from this. I am very passionate about my career, as I love to educate others, and I believe it is so important to be a good role model and inspiration to young people, to drive them towards wanting to achieving their goals in life. My background is in healthcare, where I studied at the University of Sheffield (Adult Nursing BMedSci). I have also studied Diagnostic Radiography (BSc) at Sheffield Hallam University. I have an Access to Higher Education certificate in Health Sciences where I gained a qualification which included A-Level standard Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and AS-Level Physics.

My name is Abdurrehman and I am a Business student at the University of Salford. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Business and Economics has a huge importance in my life, not only because of its link to my career, but because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAB in my A Levels and 8s and 7s in GCSEs, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my Maths teachers always applauded my excellent problem solving and maths skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. I enjoy teaching science because, apart from being great at it in my GCSEs, i like how vast the subjects are and how ever evolving they are. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didn't understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to mention all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs.
