Hello, I’m Shella L. Complito, a mathematics teacher with nearly three years of experience. I specialize in teaching students at the primary and high school levels, using the Singaporean teaching method, which focuses on deep conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. I’m passionate about making math accessible and enjoyable because I firmly believe that math isn’t as difficult as many perceive it to be. Often, it’s just a matter of shifting the mindset. I am dedicated to helping every student overcome their challenges and build confidence in their abilities. For me, teaching isn’t just about solving equations—it’s about fostering a love for learning and helping students realize that they are capable of achieving great things in math and beyond. I attended Universidad de Manila, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics. My specialization is in teaching math, with a focus on helping students at the grade school and high school levels develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. If you had to describe me concisely, I am an adrenaline junkie who loves imparting his knowledge and learning from others. I have an experience of teaching students of 4 years with the students ranging from being GCSE to A levels. I have taught Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Maths to students in both A levels and GCSE. My students have all gone to achieve 9s in the respective subjects that I teach. My classes are usually fun and interactive and not all about studies all the time, as we learn about many things besides the book knowledge in class. Other than that, because I am in university, I usually can relate to my students and understand them as I also fall under their generational demographic compared to much older teachers. I have also had experience in real life teaching, as I used to work as a teachers assistant in SEN schools in Swansea and was a SEN TA in London. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in other schools all around Swansea and in London. I have graduated from the Aga Khan School. It was an English medium school where I passed my A levels and GCSE from, with distinction. I got 3A* and one A on the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Economics respectively. Currently, I am studying mechanical engineering in Swansea university, and hope to make a difference in the world as I hone my skillset and fill my mind with knowledge.

Math is a subject I am passionate about. I finished my bachelors degree in Secondary Education Majoring in Mathematics in Westmead International School. I am licensed professional teacher, finished a 100-hour training on English proficiency on TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) and TEFL certified. For my experience, I started as a tutor in all subjects for students from kinder to secondary students. Then I became a professor handling Mathematics in the Modern World, and Statistics and probability. Lastly, I became an upper primary teacher in Mathemagis Singapore Maths.

I have been tutoring online since April 2018, predominantly helping overseas students learn English as a foreign language. Curriculum has ranged from Oxford Reading Tree to Reach, using a variety of subjects to help their learning process. Having been diagnosed with severe dyslexia when I was young, I have always had an affinity with those who struggle with education, and have had to develop my own way to learn efficiently, and use this experience to help others.
