Hello! I am Nia, I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with 5 years tutoring experience. I am a friendly, understanding and approachable person and love helping students excel in Maths and all Sciences. Aside from my academic studies, I love fitness, playing the piano, and painting! I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, hence I have a very strong background in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. My GCSE results were 9 A*s and 1 A and A-Level results include A* in Maths, and 3 A's in Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths. I have also completed several biology modules during my university course.

Levels and subjects I teach: GCSE and KS2 German and French. Exam board experience: AQA but can adapt to other exam boards too. Preferred student age group: GCSE (age 11-16) and KS2 (age 7-11). As someone who is passionate about languages and the advantages of being proficient in more than one, I aim to increase students’ confidence in German and help them to enjoy what is perceived to be a difficult subject, as well as widening their perspectives by exposing them to a culture that is different to their own. I incorporate interactive elements into lessons rather than solely focusing on textbook exercises and always ensure that a relaxed and friendly learning environment is provided, without any unnecessary stress or pressure. I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you to become more confident in German! I completed my A-Levels in French, German and Psychology, and am currently holding a place to study French and German at UCL. Additionally, I achieved grade A* (8) and A (7) in French and German at GCSE. All my exams were taken with AQA so I have an in-depth understanding of, and first-hand experience with, their exam specifications.

Lower Level: Business Studies, English Literature GCSE: Business Studies, English Literature, English Language A-Level: Business Studies, English Literature Preferred exam board experience: AQA for both English and Business Studies, however, the Edexcel Business Studies course has a lot of crossover and therefore could teach this. Languages: German up to GCSE level. Preferred student age group: Primary Level and GCSE level however would be happy to teach up to A-Level for both subjects. From a young age I had a passion for teaching; setting up my dolls and teaching them about whatever I had learnt that day at school, now I have the opportunity to do that and see the results of what we have gone through. Throughout sixth form, alongside my A-Levels I would tutor the younger pupils and help them gain confidence and find enjoyment in learning. now at University, whilst I no longer have the opportunity to do this I now volunteer at the local hospital organising activity evenings for the patients there. Not only do I meet a variety of people here but it has also greatly improved my organisational skills and challenged my already creative brain to new lengths. When I get the chance to relax I do so by reading. I hope that I can incorporate my love for literature in my teaching to create memorable and long lasting connections through what I teach my students. I hope my passion for teaching can be seen through my lessons and will inspire those who I work with to achieve their personal and academic goals! Up until leaving school at 18 I attended The Priory Academy LSST. Here I completed my GCSEs, coming away with 12 GCSEs securing two 9s in English Literature and English Language. I decided to choose English Literature, Psychology and Business Studies as my A-Level options and completed the two years with an A* in Psychology, an A in English Literature and a B in Business Studies. Currently, I am in my first year at Durham University studying Psychology with an optional module in English Literature.

Hi! My name is Sarah and I study Biomedical Science. I will graduate next year and I hope to continue onto a Master’s in Neuroscience. In terms of my tutoring experience, I work mostly with primary and secondary school children so and I have taught across the board. I absolutely adore English Literature and my favourite genre is psychological thriller but I am also trying to delve more into the Classics too. I am also an aspiring writer too, currently attempting to finish my first fantasy novel! I have experience teaching SEND students too, so don’t hesitate to reach out! I am currently completing a Master's degree in Bioinformatics. I have studied English Literature, Biology and Psychology. Within my current degree, I have studied various modules such as clinical genetics and human disease, microbiology, metabolism and physiology and cell signalling and physiology.
