I’m Luci, a recent maths graduate from the University of Oxford. I’ve been tutoring all ages and abilities for over five years, ranging from helping secondary school students to adjust to their pre-GCSE workload, to A level, admissions tests and interview practice for 16 to 18 year olds. I tutor primary school, GCSE and A Level maths. I have experience with children hoping to increase their grade to a high pass, but have also worked on summer schools with students aiming to achieve top A level grades and study maths degrees at prestigious universities. After working as a teacher in Spain on a two month summer school, I really hope to work as a maths teacher abroad in the future! I’m an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a passion for learning. Please note that I am currently only taking on A-level mathematics students I’m currently working towards a TESOL qualification, enabling me to teach all around the world. As part of this I completed an internship teaching over a 2 month programme in Spain. I’ve worked as an intern for 3 months with the University of Oxford, tutoring and helping students most negatively impacted by the pandemic with their university applications, and encouraging children of all backgrounds to progress to higher education.

My coursework was designed to equip me with the skills needed to effectively teach English, encompassing lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment strategies. I am an English and Creative Writing student at University and I love to make art and do yoga in my spare time. My favourite subject to teach is poetry, but Shakespeare is also up there! I have a cat, and welcome you to show me your pets during lessons :) I attended Queens’ School, Bushey where I achieved high scores in my A Levels and GCSEs. I achieved above 6 in all GCSEs, including 9s in English Language and Literature. For A Levels I studied Psychology, English Literature and Biology, achieving A*AA. I am currently a student at the University of Warwick.
