At A-level I studied mathematics, chemistry and biology, with an added AS level in further mathematics and an EPQ detailing the effects of water fluoridation on tooth decay. In these subjects I received all As and A*s, with mathematics being a particular strong suit where I achieved the highest grades possible in A-level maths (A*), AS-level further maths (A) and GCSE maths (grade 9). In my spare time, I am fond of drumming, having achieved a grade 8 with distinction. I really want you to get the best grade possible, and will use my knowledge of the exams i sat myself as well as the exams i have helped others sit to ensure this!

I believe that the best way to learn is to teach, and the best way to teach comes from experience, learning and patience, as well as a bit of interest of course. Apart from being part of the Go Student team, I teach one-on-one English classes (grammar, conversational, business, presentational, interview/exam prep, language, literature, etc.) to foreign students from beginner levels to more advanced levels, ranging from ages 3 all the way up to more senior years. I am very passionate about teaching and being able to assist the young minds of tomorrow's future achieve the best they can! As a dynamic teacher I use methods that are not entirely by the book - lessons are structured in a way that is meant to feel as if it is natural and not your typical school lesson - it is FUN, yet VALUABLE! I curate lessons and the process of the tutoring according to my student's needs and at their pace. My name's Charlotte. In my personal life, you can find me mountain biking, kayaking, camping or generally anything outdoors- I love to challenge myself! I do, however, equally enjoy reading a good book with a cup of hot chocolate. I am a trainee Counselling Psychologist on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology course (ProfDoc). I also have a Masters (MSc) degree in Applied Psychology (Psychological therapies) and a Bachelors (BSc) degree in Psychology. In addition, I am a Support Worker (p/t) in a hospital setting and have over 100 hours of experience working as a trainee counselling psychologist. This has allowed me to feel confident in supporting a wide range of individuals in empowering themselves to overcome difficulties. My academic experience includes writing reports, conducting research and analysing results. I also have practical experience working collaboratively with clients and planning sessions to work towards their identified goals. As a tutor, I feel my skills lend themselves to supporting children and young people with English Language and Literature. I am well versed in planning and structuring an assignment, critically analysing text and context, and presenting complex ideas in a clear, focused way.
