I am a friendly and personable tutor that provides a personalised and professional service; lessons are tailored to your individual needs. Based just outside Edinburgh, Scotland, I offer both in person and online sessions. I have 10 years of experience teaching primary in and around the Edinburgh area. My positions have included working as a mainstream class teacher, support for learning roles, and a peripatetic advisory role for children with additional support needs. Furthermore, I also have 20+ years experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language, and taught English Literature and English Language as part of the IB programme at Anatolia High School in Thessaloniki, Greece. Teaching has also seen me work abroad in Germany and Austria. Before embarking on my teaching career, I was self-employed as a personal trainer and sports psychologist. My two degrees in psychology, make me ideally placed to also tutor psychology. Students and their parents describe me as being fun, articulate and empathetic. I have a relaxed, engaging teaching style, and empower learners by offering a variety of tools and strategies. Related to this, I have had great success in improving the confidence of learners, and as a result, igniting their enthusiasm for learning. Hello, my name is Rose. I am a native English speaker from Zimbabwe, and I live in the vibrant capital city Harare. I am a very adventurous person, and I enjoy travelling, and meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds. I find that there is so much positive impact one can make in another’s life through each new encounter, and this is what attracted me to teaching English. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Near East University in Cyprus.
