Hello! I'm a 28 year old teacher from Deal in Kent, on the South coast of the U.K. I have been teaching in Seoul in South Korea for the last four years, but have recently moved back to the U.K. I have taught English (as a second language), Economics, History and English Literature to secondary school students. I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2017, with a degree in Economics and Management BSc. I'm a current MA student at UCL, studying Education and Development Economics. I'm passionate about education, and am excited about the possibilities of online tutoring for delivering focussed and tailored lessons for students, and helping them achieve their goals! I hope to inspire students to see that education can be fun and relevant, by using engaging activities and contextua...

- Biology GCSE - Maths Year 7 - 9 I am a second year undergraduate student at King's College London studying BSc Biomedical Science, and achieved AAA at A Level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have been a tutor & mentor all throughout school, and have tutored my younger sister throughout her GCSE Science & Maths. I've always loved Science, especially Biology, and enjoy studying it at university. I have also been a student who has taken online tutoring lessons during school, so I feel I understand well what makes an effective, helpful lesson and how to best support as a tutor. I love teaching, and like to create the most comfortable environment possible for my students - the best way to learn is through asking & answering questions. I've recieved awards for Biology & English in school, and I know the importance of mark schemes, exam specifications and how to approach questions thoroughly, with lots of advice to give from my own experience. Throughout school I have always had an interest in Biology, and achieved strong grades in Science, Maths and English. At university, my degree is highly specialised in Pharmacology and Neuroscience within Biomedical Sciences, and I am looking to build a career in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Hi! I'm Jenna, a recently graduated Psychology student with a passion for learning and helping others achieve their full potential. As a determined problem-solver, I have always loved maths - the satisfaction I get from solving a particularly difficult problem is what makes it my favourite! From solving algebraic equations in early GCSE to working out financial budgets for my university life, maths has always been exciting for me. Hopefully I can share this passion with you, and have some fun along the way. I have some tutoring experience across a range of contexts, from helping year 7s struggling with secondary school maths topics, to regularly assisting university students with psychology questions. At the forefront of my focus is a student's inherent grasp of the topic. I will continually check your understanding, and I am willing to approach the topic from a different angle in order to elevate your understanding and knowledge. I am determined to help you in any way that I can so you can achieve your personal academic goals and importantly, boost your confidence in your own mathematical ability. There are no stupid questions in lessons with me - I will encourage you to stick with it and keep asking for help and guidance until you could do it in your sleep! It's not always about top grades: a solid understanding of mathematical concepts and familiarity with numerical rules come first, but good marks almost always come hand in hand with this. I look forward to tutoring you!
