Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system. I have extensive experience helping students in science, ranging from secondary education to university level. I have successfully assisted students in achieving higher grades in GCSEs, A-levels, and university degree projects. With a combined six years of teaching and tutoring experience, I am patient and deeply passionate about helping students grasp scientific concepts and improve their academic performance. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. Additionally, I have a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from an overseas institution. I'm Ben and have an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Chemistry. I have always loved learning about the sciences as they are so applicable to the world around us. I believe that every student should have positive learning experiences in the sciences. I have over two years' experience in tutoring A-Level/GCSE Maths and Science. Furthermore, I have achieved an A* grade in every A-Level subject and a grade 9 in every GCSE subject that I offer. I have invaluable knowledge of exam board specifications, how to best prepare for upcoming examinations, and how to secure those top grades. I am friendly and patient in my approach and want to help each student reach their full potential, regardless of their academic background or the level they are currently working at. I find it rewarding to help my students achieve their academic goals and see them progress to their next steps. I am very flexible in my tutoring style as I recognise every student takes a different approach to learning.
