Hi there! I'm Alexis, and I'm known for being a bubbly and patient person. Over the past few years, I've had the pleasure of helping students at all levels achieve their goals and increase their confidence in maths and sciences! Lately, my focus has been on GCSE level students, where I've made it a priority to familiarise my students with the exam structure and questions as well as equipping them with effective strategies to tackle complex problems so they can approach their exams with confidence. Organisation is one of my key traits, so I often create personalised revision schedules and checklists for my new students to ensure they stay on track. I have a friendly and approachable teaching style, and so I tend build strong relationships quickly. When it comes to topics, my favourites are algebra, trigonometry, and energetics, and I'm experienced in teaching KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, and AS in Maths and Sciences. Now, a bit about me outside of teaching! I have a passion for martial arts and regularly train japanese jiu-jitsu. In the past, I also used to wrestle (family thing). During weekends, you'll often find me immersed in activities such as painting acrylic landscapes, pursuing crafts, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. Recently, I've taken up a new hobby of learning skipping rope tricks. It's always great to have some fun activities outside of academics! I’m an enthusiastic individual, that is keen on teaching children, of all ages, up until A-level. I have many different hobbies, such as playing sports and cooking different recipes, which is something I carry out in my free time. I’m also multilingual, as I can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently. I also have experience of teaching, as I ran my own personal tuition for primary school children, now moving unto secondary school, for English, which is something that I am carrying out now. I’m looking forward to teaching Primary school children, for both Maths and English, as well as English Language and English Literature for GCSE students, and in teaching Finance to A-level students. I have successfully achieved a grade 8 for English Literature, as well as a grade 6 for English language. In addition, I studied Finance as one of my A-level subjects and achieved an A*. I just completed my university degree in Accounting and Finance this year. I enjoy teaching a lot, and it’s something that I’ve always been passionate about, from a young age. I currently also work in a primary school alongside my studies which I recently completed, by doing 1-1 with SEN children, assisting them with their learning. This supports my ability to tutor as it gives me an insight into the different concepts children are learning in school, allowing me to provide my students with the help they need, as I'm aware of how important a child's education is, in shaping their future and I hope and wish to be a part of that.

I am a Qualified Teacher with over 17 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students of all levels. Experience with: Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, GCSE Maths Exam Prep, Special Need,11+ Exam Board Experience: I can work with any exam board. Edexcel, AQA, OCR (most material is common to all exam boards). I am currently working as a Mathematics teacher at a school in the U.K. In my previous roles, I taught mathematics and coding. I have also tutored students at various levels, from elementary school to college. I am very well aware of the Mathematics curriculum and always look for new and engaging ways to teach it.
