I'm Joe and I'm an undergraduate Computer Science student at the University of Birmingham. Along side studying for my degree, I enjoy learning languages, such as Catalan, in the hopes of travelling the world in the future. Likewise, I have a passion for baking (although I don't always get the time) as it's a great way to keep busy and getting some delicious food! I always struggled in school, often being below average at most subjects and not understanding concepts. When I got to GCSE level, my maths teacher made everything so much clearer when she explained things and I quickly began to rise in knowledge. She made me realise how important it is to have someone who is patient and will help you to understand any concept you're struggling with. I have GCSE qualifications in: Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Spanish, and Business Studies. I went on to study A levels at the same school and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, studying: Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and Spanish. I'm now studying an Integrated Master's degree of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.

Hi, I'm Ariel! As a licensed Mechanical Engineer with experience in both academe and industry, I bring a problem-solving mindset to my work. I’m passionate about applying math to understand everyday life and helping students use it to enhance their careers and daily activities. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken, staying active at the gym, and mastering online shopping for the best deals. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 and worked as a Design and Estimate Mechanical Engineer for a Japanese construction company, focusing on design calculations for factory layouts and supervising projects.
