Subjects and levels I teach: Biology A-level Exam board experience: A-level Biology - OCR and AQA SEND experience: I have been a personal assistant and carer to a lady (she is now 22) with autism and learning difficulties for many years. About me: Hello, my name is Alice! As a relaxed, gentle and patient tutor, I focus on cultivating confidence in my students through a creative and supportive teaching style. I believe a lesson is successful when: - My student asks questions and voices problems they are unable to at school - My student finds enjoyment and purpose in learning the subject/topic - My student is challenged in a way that builds confidence in their abilities As someone who has always worked hard for exams, I believe effective revision techniques and exam strategy is just as valuable as good subject knowledge. Therefore, for students undertaking exams, I am able to incorporate this into my lessons via tips, revision plans and exam practise. Outside of tutoring I am currently applying to study medicine and work as a part time healthcare assistant and carer to a lady with autism. I am interested in all things climate science/sustainability, enjoy being active whether its running, hockey or swimming and I love to scuba dive! In 2019, I completed my A-level studies at Brighton college with AAA* in biology and chemistry and geography. This summer I graduated with a 1st class degree in Biological Sciences and Sustainability from the University of Exeter. My degree was very broad, covering areas from molecular and cellular biology to earth systems science and policy making.

I am currently a first year university student, studying PPE (politics, philosophy and economics) at the university of York. I successfully achieved straight As and A*s (7,8,9s) at GCSE, which led me to pick history, biology and Spanish at A level. I am particularly unique when it comes to Spanish teaching as I am a native speaker, being half Spanish, and having spoken the language from as little as I can remember. I sat my GCSE’s and A levels at Mayfield school, a boarding school for girls in East Sussex. After my a levels, I had successfully gotten into my firm and my insurance choice universities ( the university of Nottingham an the university of York). Both universities being Russel group, I ended up deciding to attend the university of York, here I currently am a first year studying PPE (BA)(politics, philosophy an economics).

As an ambitious and creative individual, I love sport and theatre and I am currently studying on a musical theatre foundation year at Italia Conti! Exam boards: Edexcel (Pearson), AQA and OCR, Standard, CEM and GL (11+). Experience working with SEND children of primary school age. Subjects: primary Maths, GCSE/A Level English and History. Hi, my name is Punya and i recently finished the international Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. I love to read books and swim in my free time and my favourite animals are dogs and whales! I can teach: Lower level: Primary school maths GCSE: Maths (edexcel), OCR Economics, Edexcel Statistics IB: Standard maths (A&I), Higher Economics and Higher Psychology ( Abnormal and heath psychology at paper 2) Exam board experience: Edexcel, IB Langauges: Hindi, English Tutoring experience: I have taught GCSE Maths for 2 years and helped students with IB economics. Preferred student age: Primary / GCSE / IB I have completed the International Baccalaureate at sixth form in which I studied English, psychology and economics at higher level and spanish, maths, environmental sciences at standard level . I attend Warwick university and study law. I aspire to become a lawyer and specialise in international human rights law. My favourite subject is Maths and have taught it at GCSE level at a youth group called HYA.
