By creating mini assessments on topics covered, I closely monitor your child's progress and provide detailed reports on their development. Following each session, I promptly send a comprehensive feedback report and supplementary homework within 24 hours. This approach not only reinforces the concepts we've covered but also boosts your child's confidence and knowledge. I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role as a tutor, with a strong foundation in both academic and industry qualifications: - Level 2 Apprenticeship in Children and Young People's Workforce: Completed following my GCSEs, this apprenticeship provided me with invaluable insights into child development and effective teaching strategies. - Primary Teaching Assistant Experience: Over the past four years, I've honed my skills as a Primary Teaching Assistant, gaining extensive knowledge of the English and Maths curriculum. This hands-on experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of students' learning needs and effective classroom management techniques. - Degree in Digital Marketing: Alongside my work as a Primary Teaching Assistant, I pursued a degree in Digital Marketing, further enhancing my communication and organizational skills. - Tutoring Experience with GoStudent: In April 2022, I joined GoStudent, a leading global ed-tech company, where I've been tutoring Key Stage 2 students in English and Maths. I am an English student at the University of Nottingham, currently working on my degree, which I intend to further with a Masters degree. I came from Essex, studying for 7 years at KEGS, a top-tier grammar school, where I attained 14 GCSE's, and 3 A-levels. I spent much of that time tutoring and teaching students below me, as I have a great passion for teaching.

I am currently completing a PhD in Economics at NTU. As such I have deep subject knowledge and a profound understanding of mathematical and quantitative methods. I have studied and tutored A-level and undergraduate Mathematics and Economics in successful peer-mentoring programmes, utilising my skills to help struggling students attain their goals. Alongside my studies, I also deliver lectures and seminars to undergraduate students and supervise undergraduates and masters students. Further to this, I have also worked with students with learning difficulties to improve their basic mathematics. I am personable in my teaching and so I employ patience and discussion to ensure a thorough and comprehensive understanding of subject content. I am able to recognise when a concept is not understood and present it in various ways to suit the student and assist in understanding. I then help students apply this to problems to ensure a deep understanding of subject matter. I call on previously taught concepts to build on foundation knowledge in order to (a) consolidate previously learned material and (b) assist in the understanding of more complex concepts.

GCSE Level: I teach these subjects at GCSE level; English Literature and Language and History A-Level: I teach these A-Level subjects; English Literature and Language, Politics, and History Exams Boards: I know the specifications concerning AQA, Edexcel, and SATs Preferred student age group: Anyone from primary level up to A-levels! About you: I have tutored for multiple years now with various agencies - including over 1000 lessons on GoStudent! I think it's really fulfilling for both teacher and student and I thoroughly enjoy it! It's really important to me that I have a strong relationship with my students so my teaching style is very relaxed, gentle, informative, and compassionate and the results my students get are, without sounding arrogant, outstanding!
