As a math teacher , I specialize in teaching maths at different levels, from basic to advance. My role is to help students develop strong problem -solving skills and numerical proficiency . I strive to be patient , analytical ad skilled at simplifying complex concepts to make them understandable and engaging. My goal is to inspire curiosity , critical thinking and perseverance in my students. I hold a master's degree in Mathematics . My academic journey has equipped me with deep understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching methodologies. For past three years , I have been teaching mathematics to international students , helping them excel topics ranging from fundamental concepts to advanced theories.

Currently I am a teacher of Mathematics for secondary education, and I am also teaching adults as part of their CPD. When I am teaching, I use creative and critical thinking techniques to help my students to acquire in-depth understanding of fundamental concepts of mathematics. Part of my teaching consists of games, quizzes and other creative and fun activities that aim to make teaching and learning easier and more enjoyable. It is also important for me to help my students to learn how to solve word problems, which is a skill that students find hard to acquire. I enjoy walking, travelling, reading, sports and music. Lately I became fascinated with Space exploration and the possibilities that it creates for the development of new technology and how it helps improve living conditions on Earth. I am also interested in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning and how these are based on mathematical thought. I have a degree in Pure Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Greece, an MA in Mathematics Education from Leeds University in the UK and a PGCE in Mathematics from the UK. I have a Qualified Teacher Status to work in UK schools and I have 22 years of work experience in the UK, Greece and Cyprus.

My name is Lily and I am a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my first year studying a joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage students and adapt my teaching methods to the student in particular to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible. I teach biology, law and Spanish after studying them at both GCSE and A-level, so I would say I have expert knowledge in these areas to students who are keen to learn of all ages. We can have fun whilst we learn as I truly believe you learn the most and remember the most when you are enjoying what you are doing. Outside of studying and tutoring I love to play instruments like the guitar and the piano, and I also kick-box and dance. I love to keep myself busy and to help elevate others to be the best versions of themselves which is why I love to tutor and possibly one day teach in a different country.
