I’m a passionate math tutor with a Master’s degree and over 7 years of experience, dedicated to transforming math from daunting to delightful! Since joining the amazing GoStudent team in March 2022, I’ve been on a mission to make math accessible for everyone, regardless of their starting point. I believe every student has the potential to excel, and I tailor my approach to meet individual needs, making complex concepts simple and engaging. Together, we’ll turn challenges into triumphs and discover how fun and rewarding math can be! 🎉📚 I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics. Throughout my academic journey, I consistently strived for excellence, ranking among the top three students in my class. This commitment to my studies not only deepened my understanding of mathematical concepts but also fostered a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge.

I am a dedicated and passionate maths tutor who has experience for over 4 years in tutoring for SATS, GCSE and A-level students. I have an effective way of explaining key concepts clearly to student’s in an engaging and collaborative manner. My patience and experience allow me to adapt easily to the student’s needs. I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific needs who often have varying learning paces and styles. I am supportive, students are encouraged to ask questions, not only during lessons but throughout the week. Motivating students is essential and part of the learning journey by building their confidence and exploring their understanding. My main aim is to get students ready for exams through using my own structured techniques I used during my GCSEs and A-levels which helped me obtain grade A and A*. I currently have a mixture of students, with varying abilities between year 6 and year 11. I am currently studying Money, Banking, and Finance as a final-year student at the University of Birmingham. I've secured A* in Economics and Psychology, and an A in Maths at A-levels. Additionally, I attained all 7,8,9s in my GCSEs, showcasing excellence in subjects like Maths and Business Studies. I currently have a mix of students between year 6 and year 11.

Levels and Subjects I teach: I’m an English and History teacher with GoStudent. I can teach these at GCSE and A Level. As a professional writer I can offer academic and creative writing classes to adults and higher level students. I am a teacher of environmental science. I have an MSc in Conservation Ecology and extensive field experience in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Having studied and worked as a professional actor, I can also offer Drama/Acting classes to A Level. Languages: Apart from English, I'm also a fluent Spanish speaker. Preferred student age groups: I prefer to work with students from 10 years and older (to adults), however I have worked with students from 6 years up. About me: I have been a professional travel, environment, and creative writer for the last 20 years, and a teacher for the last 9. I have a background in acting, drama and conservation ecology and when it comes to teaching I draw on these skills to make my classes as fun, dynamic, and interesting as possible. I often use roleplay, music, media, and games to enhance students learning and understanding. Learning is so much easier when it’s fun and thought-provoking. I teach students from young children to the executives of large companies. Outside of my roles as teacher and writer I have also worked as an actor, journalist, conservationist and professional mountain and nature tour guide and tour designer. I love wildplaces. When not working, I love hiking, film, theatre, acting, travel, snorkelling, diving, photography, and martial arts. I also run workshops in creative writing. I have an MSc in Conservation Ecology from Oxford Brookes University. I decided to do this degree after living and working in Latin America, Africa and South East Asia for many years. Living and working as a guide, writer, and conservationist in these places inspired my love of the natural world. My degree is in acting and performance art. I was lucky enough to attend East 15 Acting School (which is now part of the University of East London) to study. I worked as an actor for many years, and I often include roleplay and drama in my lessons. For my A levels I studied English (A), Art (A) and Geography (B).

I am a passionate medical student who has had a lot of experience as a tutee and as a tutor. With my vast knowledge in tutoring l've come up with the best methods to engage my students during our one to one sessions. I am a dedicated tutor who has a passion for fostering comprehensive understanding and this sets me apart.
