Hello, my name is Aasim. I am currently a 5th year medical student aspiring to one day become an orthopaedic surgeon. I went to secondary school and sixth form in London , after which I took a gap year and started Medicine at university afterwards. During my gap year I spent time working as an HCA at the Royal London Hospital as well as tutoring some of my family friends' children for chemistry and maths. I also spent a fair amount of time pursuing my own hobbies and interests such as drawing, reading and football which I try to play once a week with my friends. I like to incorporate visual aids in my lessons as I, myself, am a very visual learner. I also like to maintain a light-hearted environment when teaching my students, often employing humour during my lessons as I feel that it can make the student more relaxed and enables them to learn and absorb concepts in a stress-free environment. After covering a particular topic, I often go through questions together with students so that they can apply their knowledge in a practical setting which is what they will have to do in their exams after all. I'm a second year student at Imperial College London studying Biomedical Science. As a current student myself, I am continuing to develop my passion for education and to expand my knowledge as I carry out my studies. As a tutor, I want to make sure that students are able to achieve their full potential through ensuring I make sure that I am meeting the needs of each individual student and focusing on topic areas they struggle with most. I will focus on putting this into practice through exam questions to help students feel prepared for questions they will face in their real exams. I have completed my GCSEs and A Levels at Herschel Grammar School. I achieved all grades 8-9 at GCSE, including Maths and English. At A Level, I achieved 3 A* in Biology, Chemistry and History and an A in EPQ. Currently, I am studying Biomedical Science and am in my third year at Imperial College London.

I am a medical student with previous experience tutoring 11+ (CEM and GL), core GCSE subjects (+ history) and A-Level Chemistry and Biology. I did my A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and Further maths and also opted to do an EPQ. I enjoy working with students of all ages and believe that learning is supposed to be fun. Hence, I like to adapt my teaching methods to ensure that the sessions are tailored to meet the needs of individual students and they feel comfortable asking any questions that arise during teaching sessions. I enjoy playing chess, reading books and watching different series on Netflix during my spare time. I am currently fluent in 3 languages and am learning 2 new languages, one of which is Latin!
