**SSH** Hi, I'm Sophie (she/her) ! I'm currently studying English Literature, French and Dutch at the University of Sheffield, and I can't wait to share my passion for books, languages and everything in between! I have been tutoring for 2 years and am offering tutoring in English, French and History to A level. I finished my A Levels in summer 2021 so I completely understand not only the current exam system and latest revision techniques, but also how stressful school life can be, both inside and out of the classroom. My goal in becoming a tutor is to do my best to help you achieve your personal goals, whether you're aiming to simply pass a class or achieve the highest grade possible. Our sessions will be focussed around how to achieve your best- everyone's 'best' is different, but yours is what matters to me. Outside of studying, I am usually found relaxing and having a giggle with my friends, curled up with a good book (my favourites are usually fantasy or romances) and a cup of coffee, or dancing! I've also been vegan for three years and a huge animal lover. As a math teacher , I specialize in teaching maths at different levels, from basic to advance. My role is to help students develop strong problem -solving skills and numerical proficiency . I strive to be patient , analytical ad skilled at simplifying complex concepts to make them understandable and engaging. My goal is to inspire curiosity , critical thinking and perseverance in my students. I hold a master's degree in Mathematics . My academic journey has equipped me with deep understanding of mathematical concepts and effective teaching methodologies. For past three years , I have been teaching mathematics to international students , helping them excel topics ranging from fundamental concepts to advanced theories.

I'm a passionate STEM teacher, with a focus on Computer Science and Maths. When it comes to tutoring I'm not interested in just showing you what the answer is but how we arrive at that answer and build a deeper understanding of the subject. Understanding your syllabus is one of the best ways to ensure you don't only learn your exam content but that it sticks until you need it. I achieved highly at GCSE and then went on to get A*AA at A-Level in Computer Science, Physics, and Maths respectively. I am now a Computer Science student at the University of Leeds. I've worked as a tutor for a few years now, both in and out of classrooms.
