I am studying Medicine at Queen's University Belfast and will be starting year 2 in September 2021. My hobbies include singing and playing the guitar. I have been singing since I was 7 years old. I started playing the guitar about 5 years back, and I love it. In my free time, I like to sketch. I often find myself sketching laparoscopic views of organs. Every summer, I spend my time in a daycare centre, helping the children and caretakers. This made me wonder about using these soft skills to help students get better in my favourite subject, hence I decided to start tutoring biology. I will try my best to provide a safe caring environment for my student, which allows them to blossom and grow. I believe my student will portray diligent values and skills such as inquirers, thinkers, open-minded, communicators, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. 3rd year - Medicine - Queen's University Belfast. I completed my IB Diploma, with 42/45, with 7/7 in Biology Higher Level; hence I would love to tutor Biology. I would like to take part in shaping the person they will ultimately become and encourage them to realize their true potential.

My name is Abdurrehman and I am a Business student at the University of Salford. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated and focussed. Business and Economics has a huge importance in my life, not only because of its link to my career, but because of an interest I have in me. Having attained AAB in my A Levels and 8s and 7s in GCSEs, I have developed from an outstanding student to an incredible tutor. In high school my Maths teachers always applauded my excellent problem solving and maths skills as I acheived an 8 in GCSE, and I am looking forward to sharing these tips with students of my own. I enjoy teaching science because, apart from being great at it in my GCSEs, i like how vast the subjects are and how ever evolving they are. From my own journey, there has been many instances where I have taught myself content because the way the teacher taught me I just didn't understand. This made me an independent learner and encouraged me to reach my highest potential - not to mention all the amazing tips and tricks I discovered and am excited to pass on to my students too. I have a vast experience of teaching, from volunteering experiences to jobs in different settings with tutoring - which helped me fine tune my teaching skills and made me really adaptable to different teaching styles. As a young tutor, the age gap between me and my students will be relatively small and will allow me to understand them much better, as well as make the lessons more fun and engaging as I know how to meet their needs. What I can tutor in- Lower Level English and Maths, GCSE English Literature/Language and Maths, 11+ Exam board experience- I have had experience with most of the major exam boards (AQA, Edexel, OCR, WJEC etc). I am happy to work with children of any age. I have recently completed my MSc in Archaeology at the University of Southampton. My Masters allowed me to explore my passion for both the sciences and the humanities, which is something I am very eager to share with others! In my spare time I enjoy creative writing and historical literature. I love sharing my passions, not only for literature but also for learning, and I am very excited to help people on their educational journey!
