Resume
I am a 2nd year Cardiac Physiology student at the University of Leeds but originally I am from Kent. For A-level I studied Biology, Chemistry and Politics. I am fascinated by science, in particular human biology. I study the heart mainly at university and I also have a part time placement in the local hospital. In my free time, I love to cook and eat! I have recently started trampolining and boxing which allows me to get rid of any extra energy.

Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I'm open-minded and firmly believe there is no such thing as a person who can't be taught. Each student is different from the next and all anyone really needs is the right kind of guidance. I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.

I'm literally so overjoyed to have had the amazing opportunity to join GoStudent as a tutor back in April 2023 and I just wanted to elaborate further on my academic and in addition extracurricular skills which have equipped me greatly to be able to shine a light on my own capabilities as well as my weaknesses at this time! I think that I have developed my communication skills via group work with the rest of the tutors and programme coordinators and also have had the privilege to really just go into further detail about what actually makes me tick and I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been in terms of my development and progress thus far. But how about he excitement of sharing a wonderful session with my tutees? We usually discuss the relevance of outside-of-the-box thinking and how phenomenal it is when the student and their loved ones get to choose what will happen during the lesson itself and also set the standards regarding the content to be covered so the sessions are usually quite fun and engaging to be honest! :-)

I studied Mathematics at University and I have currently graduated from university. My hobbies are reading books, playing piano, playing sports and joining societies. I have been teaching students for more than a year now and I enjoy being a tutor because sharing my knowledge and helping students improve in mathematics makes me happy. I have completed my GCSEs in UK and achieved great results in all subjects. I also studied Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics A level at college and graduated studying Mathematics at University. I recently completed my third year at university and I enjoy Mathematics a lot.
