The subjects in which I am interested in tutoring are as follows: English Language and Literature at Secondary school level English Language and Literature to adult learners English as a foreign language to all ages As for my GCSE results, I received an A* for English language and an A for English literature. Lower Level: Science and Maths GCSE: Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Maths A-Level: Chemistry, Biology and Psychology Exam Board Experience: AQA (GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), A-level Psychology, A-level Biology), Eduqas (GCSE English), Edexcel (GCSE Maths & English), OCR B (Salters) (A level Chemistry), OCR Gateway (GCSE Combined Science) Languages: Fluent in English SEND Experience: I work very closely with autistic, ADHD, dyslexic and dyspraxic learners in my main teaching job. Preferred student age group: Any/GCSE About Me: Hi, I'm a 20 year old trainee science teacher at a High School in South Devon! Next year I am going to the University of Exeter to study sports science, after taking a few years out of education due to COVID. At GCSE level I got predomantly 8's and at A levels I got awarded ABB from the government (though if I took the exams I would have gotten higher). Outside of education I love anything to do with sports, whether that be playing them or just watching them. I am a avid gym goer and used to be a Great British athlete when I was 14-16! Now however, I just casually play sports for fun, with my favourite sports being rugby, swimming and waterpolo. Also in the Summer, I love to spend most of my time down the beach surfing!

Levels and Subjects I Teach 11+ Exam Preparation (Math, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning) KS3: Math and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) GCSE: Physics and Math both foundation and higher tier A-Level: Physics Exam Board Experience Majority of my students have been affiliated with AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge. I have helped students prepare for 11 plus exam and also tutored KS3 students. Languages I am fluent in English and Urdu I can speak and understand Hindi and Punjabi SEND experience: I have experience of teaching students with ADHD and dyslexia Preferred Student Age Group I understand that one needs to adapt according to the student's age group- with primary year and middle year students you need to be very engaging and make the lessons as simple as possible whereas with GCSE and A-levels you can count on the student's foundational knowledge and use higher level of pedagogy. I mostly use powerpoint presentations to tutor KS3 students and while helping my students prepare for their 11+ exam, and it has proved to make lessons more engaging for them. However, in case of GCSE and A-levels, I invite my students to the whiteboard so we can solve, draw and practice in real-time. I believe that I am comfortable in working with students of all age groups: KS3, GCSE and A-levels. About Me I am a Civil Engineer pursuing a Master's in Water Resources Management, with over 9 years of experience in the STEM field. Since early 2022, I have taught Physics and Mathematics to Middle Year, GCSE, and A-Level students, with over 90% of my students achieving top grades (7+ in GCSE or A/A* at A-Level). My teaching approach ensures students not only understand the material but also enjoy the learning process. Academically, I have consistently ranked among the top performers: Rank 1 in my College Exam Board, Rank 5 in High School, a finalist in the International Chemistry Olympiad, and recipient of the prestigious Industrial Award during my undergraduate studies. Additionally, I earned a certification from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in "Learning to Teach Online," where I learned how to effectively use technology and innovative teaching techniques. My focus is on ensuring students grasp the "Thought Behind Things," enabling them to confidently approach any question and excel in their exams. I have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and graduated in 2019 with Industrial Award. I have a certification in Online Teaching from the University of New South Wales. I ranked 1st in my College board exam (2015) and ranked 5th in my High School board exam (2013).

Hi! My name is Elissa and I am a first year student of Primary Education living and studying in Scotland. I found my passion for teaching whilst living in Spain and decided that now is the best time to pursue a career I love. I am fascinated by languages so can't wait to tutor both English and Spanish and help you to improve! I would prefer to teach primary aged students to continue to gain experience in the field I plan to work in. As well as completing my Scottish Highers to a high standard, I am am also TEFL qualified and currently studying toward my MA in Primary Education. To improve my higher grade in English and better my chances of a place in university, I completed a university level English access course where I achieved an A (1st class merit).
