Levels & Subjects I teach: GCSE: Chemistry A-level (IB): Chemistry Exam Board experience: I have personally tutored students completing AQA GCSE chemistry and A-level students doing OCR chemistry. I do however understand how to access and utilise specific exam board specifications for teaching so would be happy to help students achieve qualifications with any UK board (e.g AQA, Edexcel and OCR). Preferred student age groups: Both A-level and GCSE students About me: Hi there! my name is Joe and I currently studying for a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry at the University of Sussex. Before joining the Sussex I obtained my masters degree in chemistry from the University of York graduating with first-class honours. I particularly enjoy spending time in the lab, with my work being focused on developing new chemical reactions. Outside of the lab, you can usually find me strategising over the chess board, exploring worlds in the latest video games or stopping my cats from causing chaos! As a tutor, I hope to make chemistry more accessible and hopefully enjoyable for students! Typically, my lessons consist of explaining concepts to students that they have been struggling with, followed by crucial problem-solving and exam practice to build confidence. Following each session/ topic, you can expect homework/ exam questions, which I will mark and provide crucial regular feedback. I have recently completed my master's research project at the University of York and will be graduating with a First-Class Honours degree this July. I am excited to be continuing to study chemistry, undertaking a PhD in organic synthesis this September. Prior to joining the University of York, I attended Oakwood Park Grammar school where I completed both my A-level and GCSE qualifications the results of which are detailed below. A-Levels: A*A*AA (including EPQ) GCSEs: 7A*'s, 1A, 1B, 8, 7, 6 Since 2019 I have been a personal mentor for chemistry. Whilst still attending school I would meet weekly with 6 students on an individual basis to help prepare them for either their upcoming A-level or GCSE exams. The enjoyment gained from tutoring both at school and privately has led me to sign up for GoStudent where I hope to create an engaging and inspiring learning environment for pupils.

My teaching methodology mainly focuses on delivering topics in the easiest and most straightforward way, all accompanied by a sensible introduction and a meaningful context. I suggest students to send me their topics of interest or their topics' material in advance of sessions. I teach maths at the following levels: - National 5 - Scottish Highers and Advanced highers -IGCSE - A-levels -Undergraduate Physics and Maths modules/courses. -Postgraduate Physics and Maths modules/courses. I graduated with a merit (upper second) class from the University of Glasgow in 2022, where I studied a Master of Science in Astrophysics. I also studied a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Astrophysics from Northumbria university where I graduated with a first class honours.

Hi, I'm Laura, a qualified Primary School Teacher from the UK. I have been tutoring professionally for over 3 years now. Alongside operating in the private sector, I currently work as a professional tutor for my local council, providing tuition to children who cannot attend mainstream schools. I am also a classroom teacher 2 days a week, working across all age phases (3-11). As I have a degree in English, it is my specialist subject. I tutor Language up to GCSE and Literature up to A-level. I have experience preparing students for the 11+ too. I am fully DBS checked. Hello! My name is Kiera and i have a first class degree in Modern History. I am still at university working towards my masters degree now! Like you when, i was in school i needed tutoring to build up my confidence and subject knowledge, and without the tutoring i had ,i truly do not think i would be where i am today- and have such a passion for learning. While i love learning- i am human and need some winding down time. My favourite hobby is exercise and second to that is cooking as it lets my creative side come out! Other hobbies of mine include: reading and travelling. I hope on gostudent i can support you with specific subject knowledge and introduce you to useful and EFFECTIVE ways to learn or revise.
