In 2022, I gained a first-class honours degree in Immunology, Infection and Cell Pathology at UCL. I was additionally awarded the David Katz Project Presentation Prize for my Neuroscience research project at the Francis Crick Institute. I have attended seven schools in four countries (Munich, Berkley, Los Angeles, Tokyo, St Andrews), which gave me a wealth of experience with different educational systems. Prior to starting university, I worked for two years as a laboratory intern in one of the world-leading virology laboratories at the University of St Andrews, focussing on novel vaccines and antiviral treatments. I am bilingual (English and Russian), and also fluent in Japanese. I am a qualified Japanese-English translator and have worked as an online translator for many years. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and had been a first-team captain of both the UCL medical women's team and the London inter-university teams. I am a psychology student at the University of Sussex. I am currently on a placement year. I am a dance captain at university, as I have been dancing for 16 years. It is my biggest passion and I love helping others explore their love of dance. I am a confident and outgoing individual who loves listening to music and exploring the outdoors with friends! I have a level 2 qualification in Understanding Autism, which allowed me to expand my knowledge outside of my university degree. I have an EPQ that I did in sixth form, and I have an AS Level in Further Maths, which highlights how confident I am in my mathematic ability.
