Hi, my name is Trisha and I'm a third-year medical student at the University of Nottingham! GCSEs and A Levels are hard exams and when you don't understand the content or are not sure how to revise, the whole process can feel even more difficult. I know the feeling all too well having sat these exams not so long ago. Luckily, I picked up lots of great tips along the way that I can't wait to share with you! I'm well-equipped to tutor students of all abilities as I am knowledgable regarding the content and also exam technique. I've spent hours preparing for my own exams so understand how to tackle those pesky mark schemes and answer questions exactly as the exam boards want them. I can also give guidance on revision techniques that I used to achieve top grades. Before joining GoStudent, I had a year of online tutoring experience and have worked with students of a range of abilities and backgrounds which helped develop my communication skills. I know that not every student is the same, which is why I tailor my tutoring session to fit YOU. We'll discuss what your goals are, how confident you feel and we go from there. I constantly check in with my students to make sure they are feeling engaged and encourage questions to be asked at any point during the lesson. Lower Levels: Maths GCSE: Maths and Further Maths A-Level: Maths and Further Maths I am the most knowledgeable about AQAs exam boards, however can also tutor Edexcel and OCR. I’m a 2nd year mathematics student at the University of Bath and I enjoy playing lacrosse, watching motorsport (and go karting) and running! I received A*A*AA at A-Levels and A* in EPQ. I have 11 GCSEs grades 7-9 including a 9 in Maths. I have taken part in many Maths Challenges, receiving golds and ‘Best in Year’ as well as receiving a merit in the Girls’ Mathematics Olympiad. In sixth form, I was also a subject leader for maths and so enjoy helping others learn and understand the subject :)

I am really looking forward to helping students to learn online. As a qualified teacher I worked in mainstream education for over 40 years teaching Key Stage 3 Science and also Key Stage 4 Combined Science and Separate Sciences to GCSE level as well as key Stage 5 Physics to Advanced level. I have also taught part of the GCSE Maths specification. After retirement I continued to teach as a Supply teacher at Secondary and Primary level. Also over the last year when classes were isolating at home I taught some classes online. I always enjoy the buzz of teaching and the excitement of experiencing students learning and helping them to progress with their lives. My Physics degree was from Bristol University and my MSc from Birmingham University. In my spare time I like to keep up by reading about recent advances in Science and where we are heading. As a teacher I used to run the table tennis and chess teams and would include those activities as my hobbies. So through online teaching I look to be efficient and adaptable hoping to help as many students as possible. BSc in Physics from University of Bristol and MSc in Physics of Materials from University of Birmingham. This is why I have highlighted Physics to GCSE and A level and Maths to GCSE. However in my teaching career I have taught Biology and Chemistry over many years.
